The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid strongly denounced the attack on a Shiite mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia that left 21 dead and 30 injured.
Issuing a statement, Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran, said, “Extremists always strive to add fuel to the fire of sectarian disputes as their interests are in sectarian clashes.”
“Attack on worship places is against the Islamic Shari’ah, wisdom and common sense. I strongly condemn the attack on the mosque of Shia brothers in Qatif, Saudi Arabia,” he stated.
