On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid, speaking to the people of Iranshahr, denounced Donald Trump’s proposal to expel the residents of Gaza, calling it a great historical injustice and mistake that is irrational and illogical. He warned of the dangerous consequences of implementing such a plan.
According to the official website of the Friday Prayer Office of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol Hamid made these remarks during a joint graduation ceremony for Sunni religious schools in Iranshahr, where he stated:
“Donald Trump’s declaration to expel Palestinians from Gaza is a grave injustice and a historical mistake. What logic or reason justifies forcing two million people—fifty thousand of whom have already been killed and whose city has been destroyed—to abandon their ancestral homeland?”
Addressing American and Israeli officials, he asserted:
“If you attempt to carry out this plan and make such threats a reality, know that not only the Middle East but the entire world will be thrown into turmoil. Even those countries that have exercised patience until now will rise up.”
He further emphasized:
“Arab and Islamic nations, as well as many other countries, have exercised patience in the hope of a just peace for Palestine. Palestinian land belongs to the Palestinians, and the Jews must return to their own lands.”
Mawlana Abdol Hamid warned:
“If you try to expel the Palestinians from Gaza, the unarmed people of the Middle East will stand against you, undeterred by the bombs and missiles you have rained upon Gaza. We strongly urge you not to commit this historical mistake but instead to seek a just and peaceful resolution.”
“Without Justice, Life Will Not Be Comfortable for Anyone”
Continuing his speech, the Friday Prayer Leader of Zahedan emphasized that the only way to resolve conflicts is through justice:
“Let the world know that the only path to resolving disputes and overcoming global challenges is through justice and fairness. The world can only sustain itself under the shadow of justice, and if justice is absent, life will be difficult for everyone.”
He stressed:
“Our recommendation to all nations and governments is to uphold justice and fairness and to ensure political and religious freedoms for all groups and ideologies. We advise everyone to respect human rights—this benefits all of humanity.”
