Shaikh Abdol-Hamid in the Friday prayer ceremony of Zahedan:

Purification, the Most Important Task of all Prophets

Pointing out to the reform activities of the holy prophets, peace be upon them, the eminent Sunni scholar of Iran considered the purification and fighting against sins as the main goals of the prophets.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid addressed the Friday worshippers of Zahedan on November 5, 2021 by saying: “Purifying people from outward and inward dirt and sins had been one of the most important duties of the prophets. The prophets purified human beings through the divine commands and by their instructions”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, considered outward purity as half of the faith and inward purity as the other half.”

President of Darululoom Zahedan described polytheism as one of the main causes of inward impurity and divided polytheism into two kinds: the open polytheism and the hidden polytheism.

“It is an open polytheism to worship idols and non-God objects. Infidelity and polytheism destroy the belief and the faith”, said the prominent scholar of Zahedan.

He said: “Hidden polytheism is another type of polytheism. The good deed that isn’t done for the sake of Allah and pretends to be done for God is a hidden polytheism. Hypocrisy is hidden like the Corona virus which is invisible.”

“Sometimes the worshipers think that they are righteous while they are hypocritical. What is done for fame and for personal goals is a kind of polytheism”, said the most influential Iranian Sunni leader.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered hypocrisy as the second inward sin and said: “The hypocrites of Medina pretended that they were Muslims, but in fact they weren’t. They didn’t believe in the Holy Prophet. This is hypocrisy in belief.”

He pointed to practical hypocrisy and said: “In practical hypocrisy beliefs are good, but deeds are wrong. Lies, betrayals, false promises, etc. are signs of practical hypocrisy. Arrogance, jealousy and so on, are inner sins and dirt. Arrogance is the worst evil. It leads to destruction. Mankind must be humble.”

“Worshiping Allah is the best attribute of every human being. No one should be arrogant for his/her position, because all positions and blessings are given by Almighty Allah.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered jealousy as another inward impurity and said: “Jealousy destroys the faith from inside. A jealous person cannot see the dignity and pride of others”.

“Purification is very important; it takes precedence over prayer. The life of this world should not be preferred to the life of the Hereafter”, he said more.

“As Muslims, we must purify our hearts from sins, offer our prayers, change ourselves and our society, guide our family, children, friends, neighbors, fellow citizens, and so on”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.

In his last points, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid referred to the victory of Danial Shahbakhsh, an Iranian Sunni citizen, in the international boxing competitions and his winning the third position in the world.
He congratulated the victory of this young Baloch man to the Iranian nation, the Minister of Sports and the President of the Boxing Federation.
