Mawlana Abdol-Hamid's Address at the Friday Prayer Gathering in Zahedan:

The Source of All Sins and Corruption in the World is the Absence or Weakness of Belief in the Hereafter

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, in the first part of his speech at the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan (May 29, 2026), stated that the “absence or weakness of faith and belief in the Hereafter” is the main source of all sins, corruptions, injustices, and crimes in the world.
He elaborated on the vital impact of belief in the Hereafter on the reformation of individuals and society.
Referring to the existence of two perspectives and beliefs regarding life among humans, he considered “correct faith” and “righteous deeds” as two important and fundamental conditions for salvation from divine punishment and entering Paradise.

Weak Belief in the Hereafter Cannot Prevent the Commission of Sin
According to the information website of the office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, during the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan, while reciting verses 7 to 11 of Surah Younus, referred to the explanation of two types of views and beliefs about life among humans, and said: Allah Almighty has mentioned two thoughts in these verses into which all the people of the world are divided. The first thought is that there is no belief in accountability and the Day of Judgment, and it believes that the whole life is only in this world, and when man dies, he becomes dust. This thought and belief, which includes the majority of human beings, is extremely dangerous.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan continued: A person who does not believe in the judgment between truth and falsehood and accountability does whatever he desires. Because he thinks that the entire life consists only of these worldly benefits, he drowns himself in sensual desires. The source of all corruptions, injustices, crimes, and violations of the rights of Allah and the rights of people committed in the world is this thought—either there is no belief in the hereafter, or if there is, it is so weak that it cannot prevent sins and injustices.
He added: When faith in Allah and the hereafter is very weak, whether a Muslim or a non-Muslim, everyone falls prey to Hell. A Muslim who does not perform obligatory duties and commits sins will go to Hell, and God knows how long he will burn in Hell. Believing in God, prophethood, and the hereafter is very important, and without them, faith is not complete.

Ritual Prayer, Remembrance, and Love for the Companions and the Ahl al-Bayt will not Save the Violator of Human Rights on the Day of Judgment
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid further reminded: Those who torture people for their wealth and interests and kill innocent human beings are those who prefer this world over the hereafter, think only of worldly benefits, and ignore the hereafter. Therefore, they waste the rights of God and the rights of His servants. The Noble Qur’an says that those who are satisfied with the life of this world and forgot the Hereafter will be caught in the punishment of Hell.
He continued: Many Muslims who did not offer prayers, did not pay Zakat, caused pain and suffering to people, and were foul-mouthed, ill-mannered, and ruthless during their worldly life are suffering punishment in the grave. Even if a person is regular in prayers and remembrance and possesses love for the Companions and the Ahl al-Bayt, but torments people, violates their rights, and embezzles from the public treasury, Allah Almighty will subject him to punishment, and there will be no way of escape for him. People are needy and dependent, and on the Day of Judgment, they will demand their rights that were violated in the world. How many worshipers and warriors are there who will be trapped in the plain of Resurrection on the Day of Judgment because of violating human rights.

Humans Can Enter Paradise Only with Correct Faith and Righteous Deeds
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said in the continuation of his speech: The second group consists of those who have an acceptable belief in God and the hereafter, perform good deeds, and observe the rights of Allah and the rights of people; these are God-worshiping and God-fearing people, and Allah Almighty, by the blessing of their faith, guides them toward Paradise, and they will enter it.
He added: Being a Muslim is not just by name, but by action.
(Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans – those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.)
Jews, Christians, and Muslims must all have correct faith and proper actions to go to Paradise. If there is no correct faith in Allah Almighty, the Prophets, the last prophet, and the Noble Qur’an, as well as righteous deeds, a person cannot enter Paradise.

If Policies and Approaches Are Not Changed, the Country Will Face Economic Collapse
In the final part of his speech, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid described the economic and livelihood situation of the country and the people as extremely critical, and blamed the prevailing policies in the country for this crisis.
He called on officials to step in with a new policy and approach to prevent economic collapse.

Fundamental and Serious Efforts are Needed to Lift Sanctions and Return Frozen Assets
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said in a part of his speech: The economic situation of the country and the people is extremely critical. The economy is one of the large and important pillars of human life, and if the economy trembles and society suffers from severe poverty, all matters of life face challenges, and this causes the emergence of all kinds of corruption and sin in society.
He pointed out: It is clear that the source of this economic crisis is the policies governing the country, as well as the corruptions in which the country is drowned. If the officials do not come forward with a new strategy and planning in these difficult economic conditions, and do not make fundamental and serious efforts to lift sanctions and return frozen assets, the economic crisis will become far more severe, and the country will reach the brink of economic collapse, to the point where nothing will remain in anyone’s hands.

Most People in Iran Have Become Poor; Decision-Makers Should See the Difficulties and Think of the Country and the Nation
The Friday Imam of Zahedan emphasized: The officials and decision-makers must look at the problems and difficulties of the people and the country. Today, villagers and city dwellers are living in extremely difficult conditions. Many factories have been shut down, and a huge number of the Iranian people is either unemployed or has very low income. Most of the people of Iran have become poor.
He clarified: The officials should not sleep comfortably; rather, they should think about the country and the Iranian people. The noble people of Iran should not face a dead end in their lives. Looking after the people and paying attention to their economy is the most important principle and the biggest issue and responsibility.

People Should Manage the Conditions of Life in This Economic Situation
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, at the end of his speech, advised the people to manage the conditions of life and said: My advice to the people is also to save in the consumption of water, electricity, bread, and food, and manage the affairs of life in these conditions in such a way that they do not face a complete dead end.
