Khateeb of Sunnis pointed out to beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and urged on benefiting from Ramadan which is the month of piety, sympathy, benevolence and reciting the Noble Qur’an.

Talking to tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan on Friday 3rd May, 2019, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Ramadan is the month of continence, piety and getting readiness for the Hereafter. Whenever you get time, help the helpless people, take part in funeral ceremonies, condole with heart-broken people, look after patients and think about your last journey and endless life. These are the things which take you closer to Allah.”

“When you talk, be just. Allah Almighty likes benevolent and generous people. He is very patient and He like forbearing people. Adopt divine morality and do not be angry for small issues,” he added more.

President of Darululoom Zahedan shed light on some virtues of Ramadan and said: “We may have lots of opportunities to approach Allah and gather something for the endless life, but Ramadan is a quite different and special opportunity; the noble Qur’an was sent in this month and the great Night of Destiny or Power.”

“If you feed and bring something for breakfast of fasting Muslims, you will receive as much rewards as the fasting ones receive. This is the best time to give people breakfast/iftar, but after Ramadan we cannot find all fasting Muslims and give them something to break their fast,” he underlined.

Maulana Abdol-Hamid mentioned different kinds of worships to be done specially during the holy month of Ramadan. He urged on avoiding from sins and misdeeds.

In another part of his speech, he said: “Allah Almighty has bestowed on His servants various kinds of spiritual and material blessings. But the spiritual table-cloth of Allah is much wider than the material table-cloth.”

“Allah has created every blessing for any special purpose; the material blessings are for material needs of life and spiritual blessings. Prophets were dispatched and divine books were sent for guiding mankind towards the straight path. So we should use all kinds of blessings correctly,” senior Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan said.

He further said: “Some people think that holding wealth, money and children is the sign of being close to Allah and the opposite condition shows bad luck and adversity. While these are faith and good deeds which make mankind close to Allah. Wealth and children without doing good cannot make human beings close to Allah.”

“Paying Zakah, donating and expressing condolence to heart-broken people and edification and upbringing of children are such deeds which take mankind closer to Allah. Good children cause closeness of parents to Allah,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said.

He emphasized: “Assuming people who wish to collect more and more wealth should be vigilant. Miserliness and collecting wealth make people heedless and negligent. Without contentment we may lose the Hereafter.”

“Undoubtedly there is no goodness in a wealth which has no benefit for orphans, needy people and the endless life of the owner that wealth. But the wealth which is good for orphans, families of prisoners, imams of mosques, students of seminaries and universities and other needy people is a tool to approach Allah,” Khateeb of Sunnis underlined.

At the end of his speech he called on the audience to enhance and boost their faith by carrying out good deeds and avoiding from bad deeds.
