Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged on ‘piety’ in his sermon of April 28, 2017 in Zahedan and called on the audience to not forget the judgment day.

He began his Friday speech by recitation of the Noble Qur’anic verse: «وَاتَّقُواْ يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللّهِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ» and said: “Allah Almighty has warned mankind to be vigilant and fulfill their duties in the world. Human beings should not forget the day when they meet the Almighty in any condition.”

“Before this verse, the Almighty mentions ‘donation’ and ‘usury’ which have a clear contrast with each other. Donation on the path of Allah increases wealth. But interest demolishes wealth and it is contrary to the Shari’ah,” Friday imam of Sunnis further said.

He called on the necessity of fulfilment of ritual duties and said: “We should not neglect our religious and moral duties. The day of accountability is very dangerous and hard. Human beings will be questioned on the resurrection day about their acts and deeds.”

“Allah Almighty has not made mankind free to carry out what they want. People know many things, but they do not know the fact of many other issues; thus they must imitate the Almighty,” the rector and principal of Darululoom Zahedan said.

He urged on the importance of ‘Zakat and donating on needy people’ and said more: “Giving donation on the path of the Almighty is very important. Donate to orphans, poor and needy people and families of prisoners. Some people cannot afford the money of bread while others waste their food by throwing them in dustpans. Then what will be our answer on the judgment day?”

Pointing out to the status of endowment, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “It is the habit of our predecessors who were going to the houses of needy people themselves. They were spending their money for the religious and financial needs of people.”

“Endowment of well and garden is one of the good kinds of endowment. Endowment is an endless donation with plenty of rewards. The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, used to endow the best of their wealth for the Almighty,” he added more.

Shaikh Isma’eelzahi addressed the audience and said: “Do not forget the resurrection day. Avoid from sins which destroy the everlasting life. Misdeeds make the grave a fire. It is madness and ignorance to fight with the Sublime and declare war on Him.”

Urging on avoidance from all kinds of sins, especially financial misdeeds and usury, Khateeb of Sunnis said: “What a lucky man is the one who goes to Allah while He awaits him. The host of obedient and submissive people is Allah Almighty in the Hereafter.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid condemned the target killing of about nine Iranian border guards in Mirjaveh district of Sistan-Baluchistan. He said that the incident was against the interests of people and a step to destabilize the peace of the province.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan expressed his sympathy and condolences with the families of the soldiers.

In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid thanked the people of Zahedan for their good cooperation with Darululoom Zahedan in organizing the 26th graduation ceremony of the seminary which is the biggest congregation of the Sunni community, too.
