Pointing out to the influences of prayers (Salah) in social and personal life of people, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed it a worship that links servants with the Almighty directly.

Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan alluded to the status of prayers in Islam in the sermon of Nov. 04, 2016 and said, “Namaz/Prayers is one of the most important pillars of Islam. The prophet, peace be upon him, has introduced Salah the column of Islam. Unfortunately, many of Muslims show heedlessness on prayers. They consider it an ordinary act; it is the wile of Satan to show the important worship an unimportant.”

“All worships in Islam have particular influences. By offering prayers the man connects himself with the Almighty. It is a direct connection with the Exalted. Namaz is the best way to get closer to the Almighty,” he added more.

Urging on offering prayers in the first moments of prayers’ time, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “The Noble Qur’an and Sunnah urge on offering prayers in the first moments of Salah time a lot. Five-time prayers make the person connected with the Almighty whole the day. The prayers should be offered in the specified times. Nothing is worthy to think of it during prayers. We should sacrifice all routine works for the prayers.”

“According to a Hadith, if somebody misses the Asr prayers unintentionally, it is a big loss for him as he has lost family and wealth. If the man misses the prayers deliberately, it is like destruction of the whole life. None of other worships and rituals can save the man from the Divine punishment,” he underlined.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid went on to say more, “Prayers should be offered with reverence, full attention and showing humbleness. The people who offer prayers with laziness and negligence have been decried by the Almighty. Allah the Exalted says in the Noble Qur’an: ‘Woe to those who pray but are heedless in their Prayers’ [107: 4-5]; it means woe to the performers of Salah who do not know why they bow before the Almighty.”

“Offering prayer is a kind of worship which cannot be abandoned even the person is ill; s/he can offer it while sitting or stretching on the bed. The man can delay Prayers to another time only when he cannot move his head due to illness,” he pointed out to some rulings of the obligatory Prayers.

The Hadith teacher at Darululoom Zahedan further said, “It is regrettable that many people do not offer Prayers but they consider themselves ‘Muslims’. While it has come in the Narrations that the difference between Islam and infidelity is the Prayers. Even some of the jurists have said the one who does not offer Prayers is out of Islam and should not be laid in the graveyard of Muslims.”

Establishment of Prayers, a solution to Muslim world’s crises
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid shed light on the consequences of establishing Prayers and said, “Muslims want to see their all problems resolved, while getting victory without the Qur’an and Sunnah is impossible. In a Hajj trip, I met one of the leaders of “Hamas”; I told him: Convey my message to the Palestinian nation, if they want victory and to liberate their country from occupation, they should focus on the establishment of Prayers. All Palestinians should offer Prayers in mosques, homes, parks, streets and roads.”

Urging of establishing Prayers in congregation, he said, “Prayers should be offered in congregation. During the era of the Companions, if there was anyone ill, they used to shoulder him to the mosque for offering Prayers with congregation.”

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points by calling on the audience to motivate their family members, relatives and the rest of people to establish prayers on time.
