Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran, alluded to the increase of some misdeeds, such as defamation, lie and libel calling “distortion of Ulama’s speeches” one of the biggest immoralities.

Talking to tens of thousands worshippers in Zahedan on March 18, 2016, he pointed out to the great ethics of the Beloved Prophet, peace be upon him, and said, “The Noble Qur’an introduces the prophet PBUH the owner of a great moral; ‘and you are certainly on the most exalted standard of moral excellence.’ [68: 4] One of his sublime characters was acting upon the whole Qur’an.”

“The Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, had a sublime and merciful moral as he never wreaked for personal purposes. He was as the Qur’an enjoined him: ‘[O Prophet!] Show forgiveness, enjoin equity, and avoid the ignorant.’ [7: 199],” the eminent Islamic scholar said.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid added more, “The ignorant people cannot distinguish the true from untrue. They do not see the facts and accuse others falsely. It is one of the big immoralities to accuse and libel on whoever is unwanted to us. Some people blame on others baselessly just because they hate them. But good people ignore other’s misbehaviors dealing with them nicely.”

“If a person forwards any false speech without investigating, s/he would be one of the liars. By hearing any news, we should investigate to confirm it. Unfortunately, our people commonly do not conduct any investigation into whatever they hear from others. In some cases, people took guns against others just due to the lie of any untrue person.”

Denouncing distortion of the speeches of Ulama by some elements, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “Many elements create false reports or they distort the statements and speeches of Ulama to defame them. Such people are among the worst and most corrupt individuals.”

“The worst people are the ones who try to make others happy and give them the opportunity of negative propaganda by telling lie; they are liars who are cursed by the Sublime. Lie, blame, libel and defamation are the signs of hypocrisy. A Muslim should not be one-faced not two-sided; one face for a group and the other face for another group.

Respect travelers always
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed nudity and neglecting the Islamic veil one of the main immoralities and said, “Some women appear in streets and markets by dense make-up. Some travel in such a shape. While, showing off beauty before strangers are among the big immoralities. Modesty is a great moral for mankind. Beauty, power, wealth and descent are worthless without modesty.”

He called on the citizens, especially shop-keepers, to take care of travelers and visitors who mostly enter the province and they choose the markets of Baluchistan for shopping. “Whenever any new-comer travels to our province, we must respect him,” he added more.

In the last part of his sermon, the Friday Imam of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan warned the people on murdering innocent youth and said, “Killing others just for little fights has been increased. Many of citizens lose their lives by stabbing. Advise your young children to not take knife with them in pocket, at home and cars.
