Referring to the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader believed that the promises of the early days of the revolution were hopeful for the Iranian nation.
“The promises of the revolution have not been fulfilled so far and the people are suffering from severe pressures, “Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed regret.
Talking to tens of thousands of worshippers in Zahedan’s biggest Friday gathering on February 9, 2024, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “In 1979 Revolution, the Iranian nation came to the scene with hope and enthusiasm because there were promises and people were showed a clear horizon. I wish that the promises of the revolution were met and protected. Today, the people of Iran are very disappointed and suffer from so many pressures.”
“Rising prices, inflation, and corruption have been rooted in the country. Poverty, immigration and escape (of elites) from the country have increased. Many professionals escape from the country because of living problems, and many do not have the ability to immigrate. Suicide has also increased in the country, which is a great danger. Addiction is also threatening the society, “said the Iranian top Sunni leader during the Friday sermons of Zahedan.

Problems will not be solved without changing policies
“As a well-wisher, I have been raising these issues from this tribune. Many others, from inside and outside the country have said these things but unfortunately, the officials have not paid attention to these issues. There is no will to solve people’s problems. Problems will not be resolved without changing policies. Many programs that were discussed at the earlier years of the revolution were not solve, “he added more.
“All over the world, dysfunctional laws are changed. In our country, despite the requests for change, this has not yet happened. May Allah Almighty succeed us to change policies based on Islamic rules and in favor of the interests of the country and the people. Popular governments should move along with the interests of the people and think how to get satisfaction of their nation. Getting the satisfaction of the nation is very important, “said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.

A successful ruler and system try to achieve people’s consent
Allah is satisfied when the satisfaction of people is achieved

“A popular system must always be next to the people and think of their interests .The best system is that people pray for the success of the system and the system thinks for the success of its people. May Allah Almighty succeed us, especially the clerics, leaders and intellectuals to see the realities and think about the benefit of the community. This is the duty of clerics to say the facts as much as they can. Throughout history, it was the task of the Ulama to tell the truth. Corruption spread when the realities are hidden. The facts should be said, “Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan expressed his opinions.

Iranians want the judicial system to act impartially
The most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar went on to refer to the duties of judiciary system. He said: “In the case of the Bloody Friday of Zahedan, people ask the judicial system to act impartially; this is the demand of the families of victims.
Referring to holding the court on the case of Bloody Friday accusations, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The Bloody Friday Court of Zahedan has been held. People ask judges to judge impartially and fairly. One of the demands of the Iranian nation is that the judiciary system and judges must be independent. Judges should not be subjected to the pressures of state offices and personalities. They should judge for the sake of Allah Almighty, the Friday Imam of Zahedan said.
“All, including state organs, officials and characters, make mistake. No one is immune from the error. If the judge judges based on the statement of some powerful personalities or organizations and commits the mistake, he will be in charge on the Day of Judgment. If the judge does not judge fairly, Allah will ask him in the Day of Judgment, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid believed.
He continued his speech by saying: “The judge should not take the ruler’s side. The Caliph Ali may Allah be pleased with him was the best and fairest judge of his time. He said that he had learned the judgment of the holy Prophet, and the Prophet peace be upon him had told him that in judgments, he must listen to the both sides. The judgment does not belong to the ruler, but belongings to Allah Almighty. The judge should never be subjected to the rulers, but should consider Allah Almighty”.
The Iranian top Sunni leader further referred to the Bloody Friday crime of Zahedan and insisted on the implementation of justice in this regard.
He said: “In the case of the Bloody Friday incident of Zahedan, I would like to advise the officials to act impartially and fairly. It is the demand of all citizens including the families of victims that all those who committed crimes in this incident should be brought to the court relevant to every organ or state personnel they are. People expect the implementation of justice. The blood money, which has been given to some families of the victims, was very little. In this incident, people were killed by war bullets, they were not targeted by mistake. People demanded the retaliation of killers.”
He added: “You must obey rules of the Islamic Shariah and pay at least one hundred camels for the blood money of one person. You are the state and not poor. Instead of one billion tomans, you should pay six or seven billion. Most of those who were killed in this incident were poor. We hope that the issue will be addressed in a way that satisfies Allah, the Almighty and the people”.
In his last points, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan referred to the release of Shaikh Abdol-Majid Moradzahi, a social and media activist that was in jail for nearly one year. Shaikh Abdol-Hamid demanded the release of all prisoners including the freedom of clerics, critics and politicians.
