The most influential Iranian Sunni leader considered the climate changes and other disasters and natural crises as results of oppression and injustice, war and bloodshed.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid was talking to tens of thousands of people in Zahedan’s biggest Friday gathering on January 5, 2024.
The Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan continued his speech by saying: “Unfortunately, war, bloodshed, cruelty and injustice have increased all over the world today. Droughts, storms, tsunamis, hot weather, and lack of rain are the results of people’s bad deeds and actions.”
“Due to the performances of people, nature changes,” He believed.
Israeli troops have no mercy on people of Gaza
The Iranian top Sunni cleric referred to the tragedy of Gaza, saying: “The world has been witnessing a great oppression in Gaza and the Palestinian territories. Since the beginning of the war, more than 22 thousand Palestinians have been massacred in Gaza. It seems that the authorities and the Israeli army have no mercy on people, while all the divine books, including the holy Quran, the holy Torah and the holy Bible, have emphasized that no one should ignore justice for hostility with others.”
“Justice, honesty and fair judgment are vital and important. Unfortunately, justice and fairness are not implemented in the world today. Many Muslims, Jews and Christians do not follow the teachings of the divine Books, “said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
He added: “While the people of Gaza don’t have a strong supporter, why don’t the Israelis implement justice? We strongly condemn the oppression.”
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid questioned: “Who kills women and children like this?!”
The Kerman terrorist attack was very shocking
The eminent Sunni scholar of Zahedan strongly denounced the terrorist attack of Kerman by saying: “Kerman terrorist attack was very shocking. Dozens of our dear compatriots, including women and children, were killed in this incident. We strongly condemn this attack.”
“We believe that innocent people whether they have any beliefs should not be killed and attacked. Such murders and bloodshed are against to the teachings of Islam. If someone commits murder, he should be punished, “said Mawlana Abdol-Hamid.
The legal rights of all citizens should be maintained
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Unfortunately, in our country, corruption, oppression, and violation of the rights of others has spread all over the country. Killing the innocents is the biggest oppression and sin. It is due to the very oppression and injustice that people are deprived of Allah’s many blessings.”
“Maintaining the rights of people is very vital. According to the Islamic and international laws, we have to implement justice and equality. I would like to advise the officials to observe the rights of all citizens, including Muslims and non-Muslims,” he added.
“The constitution emphasizes on observing the rights of all people. No one should move beyond the law. Some consider themselves beyond the law. No mufti and cleric can issue a fatwa to make halal what Allah has forbidden, “said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan pointed out to the mass executions in Iran and said: “All people are worried about mass executions. We are afraid for not to be deprived of Allah’s blessings due to mass executions.”
President of Singapore is a woman from a Muslim minority
The most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar went on to continue his speech by saying: “The Singapore president has been able to bring fundamental changes in her country by adopting right policies. Singapore is one of the best countries in the world. A Muslim woman is the president of Singapore, while Singapore Muslims are a minority and about fifteen percent. Previously, this woman had served her country as the head of the parliament and as the Interior Minister. The president adheres to the religion and she always wears her hijab. This action is tolerated by the people of Singapore.”
He added: “The president of Singapore has decreased unemployment rate to one percent. Today, this country competes with the developed and advanced countries of the world. Singapore is now one of the world’s economic poles. She could remove the taxes fully.”
“In previous administrations and in president Raisi’s administration, I have suggested that taxes should be removed and the quality of production should be higher and the price should be cheaper, said Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.
“In Singapore, the president has been selected from a minority of a 15% population. It should be noted that women can bring fundamental changes in the world. So they should be given equal opportunities to serve the community as they deserve, he underlined.
Women’s abilities should not be ignored
The eminent Iranian Sunni scholar went on to defend women rights by saying: “Women have talent and ability; they should not be ignored. Ignoring the capability of both men and women is a great loss for countries. Capable people should serve the community regardless of their creed and ethnicity. The country will get rid of all crisis when capable people come to the office and serve the country in all branches.”
“The Iranian people wish to think only about the principles of humanity, and justice, fairness and equality, “he said in his last points of his Friday sermons of Zahedan.
