Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed ‘hypocrisy’ the biggest danger for the faith of any Muslim in the light of Hadith on Friday, Sep. 9, 2015.

Delivering his Friday sermon in Zahedan, Iran, he said, “Hypocrisy is the biggest threat to the faith and religion of any Muslim. Hypocrisy is as hidden as some people cannot recognize its existence; some Muslims offer prayers, observe fast, perform Hajj but commits hypocrisy too.”

Dividing hypocrisy into two classes, he said, “Hypocrisy is either related to tenets or to deeds and acts. When a person suffers from hypocrisy of tenets, s/he claims to be faithful but does not believe by heart in Allah and His last messenger. This group of hypocrisy used to live in the era of the prophet, peace be upon him; they were taking part in deeds with true Muslims but if fact they were on the religion of their forefathers.”

“The most of today’s Muslim rulers think they are Muslims, but they are wrong; they are some hypocrites who consider the religion against their interests. They make friendship with the enemies of Islam wholeheartedly. Then get nations towards infidelity,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid underlined.

He alluded to the second type of hypocrisy and said, “Some people suffer from the hypocrisy of acts; they offer prayers, observe fast and perform Hajj and believe in Islamic commands and tenets, but the signs of hypocrisy can be seen among them.”

“According to a famous Hadith of the prophet, peace be upon him, there are three signs of hypocrisy; the first one is telling lie. When they talk, they tell lie commonly. Unfortunately, we see people telling lie by different titles and baseless pretexts. Followers of religions and sects tell lie against each other. While Allah has cursed liars,” the rector of Darululoom Zahedan added more.

He made it clear, saying, “The brilliant teachings of Islam urge on avoidance from false and telling the truth always. Today we see children telling lie in home, because they learn it from their parents.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed the breach of promise the second characteristic of hypocrites and said, “Hypocrites cannot withstand with their promises they make. Regrettably breaching promises has been so common in the society. It was contrary to the culture and traditions of our people in the past. Islam urges on fulfilling promises. The prophet PBUH says: “There is no religion for the one who does not fulfill his promises”.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the third characteristic of ‘hypocrites’ and said, “Deceiving in trust is another sign of hypocrisy. Allah has mentioned the religion as a trust. So disobeying the Islamic commands and orders is a breach of trust that harms the faith of people. The Last Messenger of Allah says: “He has little faith the one who has no trust”.”

Take the benefits of first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah
Reminding the significance of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, Khateeb and Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said, “Worship Allah as much as you can in the first ten days of the last lunar month, Dhul-Hijjah. Observing fast in these days has many rewards. It is a golden opportunity for us.”
He said, “Although we could not get the blessing of Hajj in the holy cities, but we can take the opportunity and worship Allah along with the pilgrims.”

Activation of petrochemical projects should decrease rate of unemployment in the region
In the last part of his sermon, the outstanding Iranian Sunni leader alluded to the inauguration of two mega projects in the coastal area of Baluchistan, Iran, and said, “Petrochemical industry is a mother industry that produces dozens of more industries; it has many interests for the region including employment for jobless youth.”

“Sistan-Baluchistan has lots of natural resources and capabilities for investment and development. Besides, it suffers from poverty and high rate of unemployment. Thus we hope start of such mega projects would decrease the problems of the region”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on public investment in the province and said, “I’d like to call on investors, particularly local ones, to create jobs for jobless people and take part in such schemes. We should encourage other investors to invest in our province and fight against poverty and rampant unemployment”.

“Equipping people a legal source of income and Halal livelihood has lots of rewards and benefits for us,” he concluded his points.
