Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed Islam a complete and comprehensive religion in his latest Friday sermon, Sep. 06, 2015 and called on Muslims to avoid innovation in the religion and superstitions.

The Friday imam and Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan began his speech by the Qur’anic verse: «وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانتَهُوا», (And whatsoever the apostle gave you, take; and whatsoever he forbad you, refrain from.); [59: 07]

He said, “Allah Almighty has ordered Muslims to imitate the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, in different verses of the Noble Qur’an. Imitation of the Last Messenger is equal to imitation of the Almighty. Because he was dispatched by the prophet and he used to say what had been sent by the Almighty.”

Explaining the meaning of “Sunnah”, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “Sunnah is called the lifestyle, acts and golden words of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.”

“Whatever is forbidden by the prophet is innovation and superstition; Islam is complete and it does not need anything new”, he underlined.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further said, “The previous nations went to obliquity because of innovation and superstition. Jews changed the religion that was introduced by the Prophet Moses; they altered the words and meanings of the Torah. Even they advanced in superstition and innovation as much as they called “Uzair” the son of God and associated others with Him. Christians also made the prophet Christ son of Allah and adopted the false tenet of trinity.”

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan urged on Muslims to avoid Bid’ah and said, “The beloved prophet Muhammad has warned us to not follow Jews and Christians in order to protect them from superstition. The messenger of Allah said in the last days of his life, may Allah curse Jews and Christians who made the graveyards of prophets and saints ‘mosques’ and worship places. He, peace be upon him, was afraid that Muslims may take graves as ‘worship places’.”

“The only remedy is in the imitation of Shari’ah and golden sayings of the prophet, peace be upon him. The best guidance is the guidance of the prophet Muhammad. The worst act is innovation in religion; i.e. adding something that has not been approved by the prophet, peace be upon him, and expecting rewards, too”, he made it clear.

The eminent Islamic scholar said, “The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, has informed us surely you witness many disputes after me, then hold on my path and the guided caliphs. Islam is a comprehensive religion and any kind of innovation (Bid’ah) is refused by Islam. Allah has completed his religion and there is no need of adding something new to it.”

“Islam is the religion of sobriety and temperance. Going to extremes is refused in Islam. It has forbidden Muslims to oust other Muslims from the circle of Islam. Weaknesses should be reformed. Islam urges on intuition and dialoguenot horror and terrorism,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points.

Great Ulama can recognize the conditions of jihad
Rebuffing the struggles to spread ‘Islamophobia’ in the world, the Friday imam of Zahedan said, “The enemies of Islam have struggling to spread Islamophobia in the world and frighten people making them afraid of the religion of peace and love. Islam is the religion of tolerance, peace, peaceful mutual life and open-mindness. Islam has legitimated jihad against aggressors, arrogantelements and occupiers who do not know logic and dialogue.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan emphasized, “Jihad is one of the big pivots of Islam. But we must know only great Ulama can recognize the conditions of jihad. There are many customs in the society which are against the Islamic Shari’ah, so all should consult Ulama and specialized figures.”

Owais Badpa Qasemi was an intelligent & vigilant young
In the last part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the demise of ‘Owais Badpa Qasemi’, the son of Mufti Muhammad Qasem Qasemi and manager of Allamah Nadwi Publications, expressing his condolences with the family of the late. He called him an intelligent, useful and vigilant young as he could translate some books into Persian despite suffering from thalassemia.

He added more, “Owais Badpa was an active member of ‘Thalassemia Society’. He was a pious young. May Allah forgive him completely and rest him in the best places of the Paradise. Make Du’a for the patience and rewards of his parents and other relatives.”
