Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged the love of Haramain is in the hearts of all Muslims. He was talking to Sunni worshipers in Zahedan, Iran, on Friday 28th Aug. 2015.
“SunniOnline” reports, Khateeb of Sunnis said, “Hajj is one of the important pillars of Islam and it is a very great worship. The Almighty has put the love of Makkah and Madinah in the hearts of all Muslims. They love these sacred places. These are the locations where Wahy (revelation of the Qur’an) on the prophet, peace be upon him, descended. The Last Messenger of Allah used to live in these holy places. It is the birth place of Islam, the perfect and chosen religion of Allah.”
He added more, “There are some exclusivities and features in Hajj which rarely can be found in other worships. Allah has bestowed Hajj and visiting of the holy sites a great reward. In these places sins would be washed out. Pilgrims travel to the holy places in the cloths of lovers and obedient servants; Ihram is the dress of the people who are sure this world is mortal.”
“In fact, the Ihram dress is similar to shroud and pilgrims attend in the court of the Almighty to get His mercy and forgiveness. Mount Arafat is the place where Allah would be close to His slaves more than any other place. Allah forgives pilgrims in Arafat desert where millions of Muslims gather and raise hands towards Allah to get His blessings”, he underlined.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan added more, “If pilgrims repent toward Allah during Hajj, their all sins and misdeeds will be forgiven like a newly born child; if there is no any right of people on his shoulders. Thus Hajj is more worthy than the entire blessings of the world.”
Advising the pilgrims, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, “Pilgrims should consider what they are going to do. They must not waste their time over there. The opportunity of staying in the holy places of Hijaz is so short, so take the usage this opportunity. Pilgrims should forget the worldly interests and carry out the ritual worships in the holy sites.”
At the end of this part of his sermon, he asked the audience to make Du’a for the Muslims around the world.
National View, Participation of Sects Insure the Country
In the second part of his speech, the prominent Iranian Sunni leader termed the ‘national view of rulers’ very influential and the ‘participation of ethnic and religious sects’ a guarantee for the country’s durable unity and security.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid was talking to tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan, Iran, in the presence of Dr. Ashna, the advisor to the Iranian president, and some high profile provincial officials on the verge of ‘Government Week’ in Iran.
He said, “The nuclear deal was one of the biggest achievements of the current government. Not only in the region, but also in the entire world the agreement was welcomed. It was not obtained after any war and military clash; rather it was the result of negotiation and dialogue”.
“Dialogue is the sign of sagacity and wisdom. A sane mind, except in few particular cases, refuses war and violence. The best way to resolve problems without any scuffle and fight is negotiation and dialogue.”
Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan city urged, “We must confess this fact that after the ruling of the new government, calmness has been prevailed in the country. People’s hope has been revived and solidarity, fraternity and sympathy among different ethnic and religious communities have been developed. It is the discretion of the current government”.
The president should fulfill his all promises
Going on, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reminded the president Rouhani his promises and said, “Resolving the nuclear case was one of the president’s promises and he fulfilled it recently. Executing the national constitution, ensuring social, political and religious freedoms for all Iranians were the other main promises he made on the verge of presidential elections.”
“Iran does not belong to any particular community, wing or class; rather it is for the entire nation. The participation of all sects and ethnic communities in the management offices and decision making bureaus ends up with durable national peace and unity. The national and impartial view of the higher authorities develop the peace and solidarity of the nation on different stages”, he made it clear.
‘Police state’ cannot ensure the peace of country
In another part of his speech in the presence of national and provincial officials, the outstanding Iranian Sunni leader refused military force for bringing peace and said, “I think the peace of region and the regime has not been obtained by weapons and police state. Many states were dramatically strong in the military fields, but when they denied to pay attention to the demands of their people, they faced crises and were uprooted.”
“Relying on people, impartial and national viewpoint and listening to the people and their legal demands can unite the nation”, Shaikh underlined.
Pounak prayer-room must be rehabilitated
The member of the Supreme Council of the MWL, based in Makkah, alluded to the destroyed Sunni prayer-room in Tehran and said, “Resolving the issue of Pounak prayer-room, that has been demolished recently, is one of the other demands of people. I am sure the supreme leader, the president and other elite officials were not satisfied with the demolition. The elements carried out this act were not farsighted as they did not take care of our Islamic and national fraternity.”
“We ask the Almighty their guidance toward the straight path”, he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid emphasized, “I’d like to convey a public demand by the advisor to the president and ask the officials to rehabilitate the Pounak prayer-room in Tehran. We assure the officials and Allah is a witness, there has not been anything in that prayer-room but worshiping Allah. We hope it will be restored by the discretion and planning of the government.”
