Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, Sunnis’ Friday Imam and Khateeb in Zahedan, Iran, mentioned Islam as the ‘last and most perfect’ divine religion, urging on Muslims’ return to the real Islam for gaining their due respect in the world.

Talking to tens of thousands on Friday, 15 August, 2014, in the gathering for Friday prayers in the southeastern city of Zahedan, he began his sermon by the noble Qur’anic verse: «إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِندَ اللّهِ الإِسْلاَمُ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ فَإِنَّ اللّهِ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ», (Truly, the (recognized) religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. Those who have been given the Book did not differ (among themselves) until after the knowledge had come to them, (and all this) due to envy against each other. Whoever denies the verses of Allah, then, Allah is swift at reckoning.); [3: 19]

Khateeb of Sunnis said, “Islam is the last, the chosen and the most perfect religion of the Sublime Allah. The Almighty has preferred this religion for all with its all exclusive features. Islam is a religion for all times, centuries and adoptable for the people of any part of the world. The religions came before Islam were carrying directions appropriate for the people of specific times, regions and local requirements.”

“But the sun of Islam was arisen when the human civilization got advanced; Allah, the most kind and merciful, dispatched this perfect religion for all human beings in any time. It has teachings and directions for all aspects of life with solutions to all problems,” he added more.

Citing the Qur’anic verse: «َلاَ تَهِنُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ», (Do not lose heart and do not grieve, and you are the upper-most if you are believers.); [3: 139], he underlined, “Allah has promised to support the owners of Islam, i.e. Muslims; they need not to lose heart as they are superior if they are true in faith. The Sublime promised Muslims and believers of help and companionship in many places in the Qur’an by different words.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan termed ‘real Islam’ the main reason of the first Muslims’ victory. He stated, “In the beginning years of Islam the real Islam was apparent in the deeds and the tenets of Muslims in that ear; all worships and good deeds were actual not for getting fame. Thus Allah made them successful and they got honor and respect in the world in their time. Unfortunately, today’s Muslims have left the real Islam and there is only the name or picture of Islam with them. Spiritless deeds and wrong tenets are the causes behind Muslims’ defeat.”

Shaikh further said, “Muslims are divided into fighting societies, sects and groups because they do not carry out the real Islam. All crises of the Muslim world can be resolved if we are true in faith and adopt the real Deen. Muslims do not suffer from lack of number. Despite the huge population of Muslims, they cannot resist their enemies. Muslims witness day and night what is going on in Gaza and how their brothers and sisters suffer, but they cannot do anything except showing ruth.”

Alluding to the solution of the current crises spread in the Muslim world, the most influential Sunni leader in Iran urged ‘returning to the real Islam’ can resolve Muslims’ crises. Material tools and nuclear weapons cannot make Muslims prosperous unless they enjoy a good spiritual power. Weak nations defeated ‘super powers’ in the past thanks to their strong faith, deeds and morals. The hand of the Almighty is with the nation that obeys Him.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah called on the audience to strengthen their ties with Allah and strive to purify themselves and the society. By avoiding disobedience and wasting the rights of others ‘real Islam’ can be implemented in life.

The chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan indicated to the new academic year in Iran, he presented some points on the importance of knowledge asking parents to equip their children with education and edification by sending them to Islamic seminaries, schools and universities.
