Pointing out to some virtues of the first caliph, Abu-Bakr as-Seddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called him and all companions of the prophet ‘the best after messengers’ as Muslim owe them indeed.

He was talking to thousands of worshippers in Zahedan on Friday, April 18, 2014.

(If you do not help him, (it makes no difference to the Prophet, because) Allah has already helped him when the disbelievers expelled him, and he was the second of the two, when they were in the cave, and he was saying to his companion, “Do not grieve. Allah is surely with us.” So, Allah caused His tranquility to descend on him, and supported him with troops that you did not see, and rendered the word of the disbelievers humiliated. And the word of Allah is the uppermost. Allah is Mighty, Wise.); [9: 40]

He added more, “Once the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: “No wealth has benefited me much like the wealth of Abu-Bakr.” Hearing this Sayyidana Abu-Bakr Seddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, cried and said: “No one owns my life or my wealth except you O Messenger of Allah!” another Hadith suggests: “Abu-Bakr is my companion, my friend in the cave, so know him for this. If I were to take a bosom friend I would have taken Abu-Bakr.”

Alluding to the story of migration of the prophet along with his best companion, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “During the stay at Cave Thawr, it is reported that Sayyidana Abu-Bakr’s wife would cook and his daughter, Asma, would sneak away to the cave to give them the provisions. Thus, as-Seddiq supported the Messenger of Allah with literally everything he had; his family, his wealth, and indeed his own life.”

“Every Muslim who is true to his religion follows in the example of as-Seddiq; indeed, love for Allah and His Messenger is our salvation,” he underlined.

The Islamic scholar added more, “After three days in Cave Thawr, Sayyidana Abu-Bakr and the Messenger of Allah proceeded to Madinah. As they walked, it is reported that Sayyidana Abu-Bakr walked in different directions; sometimes to the right, sometimes to the left, ahead or behind the Beloved Messenger. Upon enquiry, he explained, “Beloved of Allah, when I walk behind, I fear lest the enemy attack you from the front so I move there. And when I walk to your right, I fear lest the enemy attack you from the left so I move there.” Yes! This is called love and care.”

After explaining the story of the migration to Madinah, Mawlana further said, “When these great companions of the prophet sacrificed their lives to protect Islam and the Last Messenger of Allah, they did not know anything about the future; they did not know one day the beloved prophet would establish a state and they will be successors of him. Rather they provided their all sincere services to achieve the pleasure of Allah.”

“We owe all of the companions; because they sacrificed their lives for a person who is dearer to us than our children, wife and parents,” he added more.

Fatimah & Wives of the prophet examples for society
Pointing out to the birth anniversary of Fatimah, daughter of the prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings be upon him, he said, “Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, was a pious and well-trained woman who spent her whole life with poverty.”

The eminent Islamic A’lim said, “Sayyidah Fatimah and the Clean Wives of the prophet, may Allah be pleased with all of them, are examples in our societies; they worshipped Allah Almighty day and night sincerely, they loved Allah not the worldly tools. So our women should adopt them their ideals not Western actresses and so called ‘misses universe’.”

“Women have a great and high status; all great men in history were trained by these women. Their influential role in advancement of Islam cannot be ignored”, he concluded.

The trip of the president was unprecedented
Alluding to the recent trip of the Iranian president to Sistan-Baluchistan, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan called the trip unprecedented and unique in the contemporary history of this poor province of Iran.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid declared the current president of Iran a ‘sober’ man who believes in temperance in politics and other affairs.
“We think the trip of Dr. Rouhani has many advantages for the province; he examined the problems of the province gently and subtly. It shows he has a broad mind. Soon we will witness some positive changes and people’s problems will reduce by the help of Allah Almighty,” he added more.

The outstanding Sunni leader expressed his satisfaction with the plans and decisions of the president for Sistan-Baluchistan, saying, “The president highlighted the sensitive issues of the province with an open mind. I thank the president and his cabinet on the behalf of myself and the people of Sistan-Baluchistan. We hope the province will advance in all fields soon by productive plans of the government and utilizing the abilities of local residents.”

Khateeb of Sunnis gave thanks to the people of Zahedan and the rest of the province over warm welcome of the president on his arrival to Zahedan. He termed the warm welcome of people suitable and in accordance with the local traditions of the people.

The secret behind development & peace is fraternity
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid reminded two important messages of him to the people of Sistan-Baluchistan in another part of his speech, saying, “My first message to the people of Sistan-Baluchistan is to be united and start a new phase of fraternity and friendship; all communities must work hard for mutual solidarity to discourage their enemies and encourage the officials for more investment in the province.”

The member of the IUMS asked the residents of Sistan-Baluchistan to maintain law and order, and have an active role in the peace of the region. “There must not be rubbery, abduction and any other insecurity. Security and fraternity can ensure the ultimate development of the province. It is a good point that the president has put his trust on the people in the case of security. Security forces are supporters of people in bringing peace in the region.”

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his hope on the bright future of the Muslim world.
