Shaikh-ul-Islam Abdol-Hameed Isma’eelzahi, underlined in his latest Friday sermon in Zahedan, Iran, the new government must be impartial selecting its main members from capable citizens of all sects and ethnic groups.

Alluding to his latest trip to Tehran and meeting the president-elect, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, he said, “As I recognize Mr. Rouhani, he is a strong and wise man. He has some good wishes to serve the country not to enjoy the rank of the presidency. It was my opinion about him and I told him in the meeting; he also confirmed and urged that his aim was to provide services for the entire nation, all sects, wings, ethnic groups and religious communities.”

Dr. Rouhani is an independent president; we think only a discreet government can resolve the crises tactfully. The government of Mr. Rouhani can fulfill this demand of the nation as his government’s motto is ‘policy and hope’. Allah Almighty administrates His creatures and the entire universe tactfully; policy is a correct and reasonable divine method, the leading Sunni scholar further said.

Shaikh Isma’eelzahi further said, “We believe the best policy is forming a pervasive and impartial government. Capable, deft and qualified individuals from all wings should have their share in the new government. Mr. Rouhani is a sober man, and it is the path of Allah and Islam to avoid extremes. Sobriety is the best policy; we hope the president-elect will go ahead temperately. By getting proficiency of the capable citizens of all sects and parties a moderate and strong government can be formed.”

The member of IUMS underlined none of the nations can be united without a fair and just share in ruling in their country. National and model solidarity can be gained when discrimination is removed. Sunnis belong to this country and they are from the original Iranian races; their demands are ‘national’ as One of the top officials has admitted recently. The Iranian Sunni community wants its due rights which are national and legal; they are not extortionate.

Chairman of the Coordination Council for Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan pointed to the high turn-out in the Sunni-majority regions of Iran in the recent election and urged the president-elect must implement justice and equality in the country. Iran can be a stable and strong country by unity and participation of the entire nation.

In another part of his first speech after the journey of Umrah, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah condemned the assassination of two tribal elders in Zahedan and said, “Bloodshed is the worst phenomenon and the biggest threat to any nation. Kidnapping and robbery are also very awful phenomena which defame people of the region.”

In the name of democracy Islamists were ousted

Rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out to the military coup in Egypt, saying, “People were so worried about the conspiracies of the global arrogant powers who have been striving to marginalize the Islamic awakening movement in the region. It is the plot of our enemies to boost sectarian clashes and murders in order to resist the Islamic awakening.”

The outstanding Sunni scholar and member of the Fiqh Academy of Makkah stated, “They have ousted the government of Islamists in the name of democracy to restrict the presence of Islam and Islamist sides. The UN admits the elected government of Islamists was the first democratically elected government in Egypt. We saw how this government was overthrown in a military coup.”

He underlined according to the principles of democracy, democratic governments should be elected by the public and ousted by the vote of them as well not by a military coup. Failure is the fate of military coups; thus pro-coup elements want to actuate the clashes towards sectarian disputes.

“Irancell” must apologize to the Iranian nation

In the final part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed alluded to the insult of the second caliph, Omar bin al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, by the mobile network operator of Irancell, saying, “In a competition organized by an association affiliated with ‘Irancell’ sanctity of some holy individuals of Islam has been attacked. I recommend all companies to avoid creating reasons for disputes and anger of people.”

He asked the Irancell network to apologize to the entire nation, particularly the Sunni community; insult of any sect makes the entire nation upset. The judiciary must take serious actions forbidding all from dishonoring the tenets of the people.

It is noteworthy after the statement of Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed, within hours, the general prosecutor of the Sistan-Baluchistan province impeached the second largest mobile phone operator in Iran, Irancell, and the affiliated association apologized to the Sunni community of Iran over the insult of Umar bin al-Khattab.
