Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Isma’eelzahi introduced the world a place of divine tests for mankind urging commands of Shari’ah ensures real success for everyone and protect mankind in divine tests.
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah began his sermon of April 19, 2013 by reading the 12-21 verses of the “Borouj” chapter and said, “The world wherein we live is a big laboratory created by Allah to test His servants. The world is full of sins and misdeeds; there is difference that who is the creator of sins, God or people? Some cults believe Allah has created misdeeds to test and examine His servants as He created various bad and good things to test mankind. There are lots of Satans; as every person has a particular Satan to deceive and mislead him/her. Even Holy Prophet, peace & prayer be upon him, said that he had a Satan but it had surrendered before him. Allah Almighty has warned us to be cautious; Satan from Jinns and Mankind strive day and night to misguide us.”
All sins such as backbiting, telling lie, suspicion, shedding the blood of innocents, magic, drinking wine, adultery and disobeying parents have been created for our test; we must avoid them strongly, he added more.
The eminent Islamic scholar further said, “On the other hand, the All-Loving Almighty created faith and Islamic commands; Islam is the source of all blessings. Islam and Shari’ah want to make people perfect and prosperous. Allah made offering prayers, Hajj, fasting and Zakah obligatory as He was aware of mankind’s nature. People can be perfect only by these rituals which play a vital role in purifying the soul of mankind.”
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan counted ‘human rights’ one of the divine tests saying preserving the rights of parents, spouse, children, kindred and other people is one of the divine examinations for humankind. He tests people by the Haqq and Batil (Truth & False) to see whom they support. Allah Exalted called on mankind to support Him in order to get His support; while He does not need anyone’s support. In fact, supporting Allah means to support His religion; when you do so, it proves you have accepted Allah’s orders. Allah the Sublime prefers all Muslims lose their lives but Islam must remain safe, He was content in the Battle of Ohod with the blood shedding and martyrdom of 70 companions of the prophet but damage of Islam was unbearable for Him. It is a test for Muslims to protect Islam getting honor and rewards.
By studying the noble Qur’an we can easily understand Allah Exalted has supported followers of the Truth always, making troubles for the imitators of the False to punish them. Allah mentioned the fate of Thamoud, A’ad, Pharaoh and Lout nations saying: “In this is a warning for such as have eyes to see.” Wise people take lesson from the incidents take place around them. Allah asked the people of Makkah why you do not take lesson from the fate of punished nations when you travel to Shaam (Syria) and Yemen? So, we must be careful not neglectful in this field.
Recent quakes; a warning for the Iranian nation
Shaikh-ul-Islam alluded to the recent earthquake shaken most parts of Iran calling it a divine warning for the Iranian nation.
He added more, “Earthquake is one of the signs of Qiamah, Resurrection Day; unfortunately it has been common to see quakes inside Iran. Some of them left casualties in Bushehr and Azerbaijan provinces. The latest massive quake hit Saravan district of Sistan-Baluchistan was unprecedented; it shaken some parts of Pakistan, India, Afghanistan and the Gulf states. I think these daily earthquakes are clear warnings for the Iranian nation and leaders. It proves still some people violate rights of others; Allah is unhappy with the deeds of Iranian nation and rulers. So all of them must repent towards Allah; both Shia & Sunni scholars must return to Allah rectifying their mistakes; they must work hard to guide the nation to the correct and right way.”
He underlined the people of Sistan-Baluchistan should repent and ask for forgiveness. Also they must give thanks to Allah as the quake did not leave any casualty. However, all geologists and experts -who only see the outward sides of such incidents- were astonished how such a massive earthquake (7.8-magnitude) left no casualty?! It proves our people are on the straight path and tenets, it was the mere kindness of Allah and the blessing of the noble Qur’an. It shows Allah takes care of our people as He did not demolish houses and buildings on us. But we must accept we have weaknesses in deeds; many sins have been prevailed in the society. So the Sublime has given us another opportunity to reconsider our deeds and abandon sins.
At the end of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed advised the audience to help survivors of the victims of the quake in the frontier towns of Baluchistan of Pakistan praying for the forgiveness of dead Muslims.
