Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi began his latest Friday sermon by recitation of holy verses: «إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي الألْبَابِ*الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىَ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ*رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ » [آل عمران:190-192], (Surely, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are signs for the people of wisdom, who remember Allah standing and sitting, and (lying) on their sides, and ponder on the creation of the heavens and the earth (and say) :Our Lord, You have not created all this in vain. We proclaim your purity. So, save us from the punishment of Fire.) Putting reflection in the universe one of the most important ways to know the Sublime Allah.
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah added more saying that the one who knows Allah Almighty more than others is the wisest person. The entire universe is the sign of Allah’s magnificence and unchallengeable power. Allah created a sun that gleams the entire world despite earth’s vastness. Holy Qur’an states: «و فی الارض آیات للموقنین و فی أنفسکم أفلا تبصرون», (In the earth, there are signs for those who (seek truth to) believe, and in your own selves! So, do you not perceive?) There are many marks can lead mankind to Allah.
Shaikh went on to say more, ‘Allah Exalted has put lots of hints on the human body; thoughtful beholders can see them easily and get the greatness of Allah Almighty. He created such things that human beings are disabling to create them. If today’s mankind succeeded to invent some new tools by technology, all of them are the copy of Allah’s creatures; airplanes are samplry of birds as ships and boats are the sampling of fishes. They take the sample of human brain to invent computers and other similar things.’
Continuing his points, the eminent scholar emphasized saying that pondering in Allah’s creatures leads people to the cognition of Allah. The Almighty encourages His servants in many places to meditate upon the universe. If somebody denies Allah’s glory or existence despite these marks, s/he is mentally sick person.
He called on the audience to ponder on divine gifts and blessings. ‘You should not neglect this obligation; be vigilant and give thanks to Allah intentionally. The most pious and knowing is a person, the wisest is s/he. Negligence over this duty and committing sins are, in fact, injustice with the self.
Strongest nations weakened by disputes
In the second part of his speech, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan pointed out towards recent unrest incidents in the Iranian Baluchistan province saying that the circumstances in the world are very sensitive nowadays. Anti-Islam elements who are afraid of Islamism and Islamic movements have been striving to eliminate Islam’s shining light. They have been failed to do so yet.
He furthermore said, ‘In the past decades, two big powers, the USA and USSR, used to take the advantage of Muslims’ emotions and beliefs in their illicit aggressive wars and clashes. The West and East always misused Islam for their interests. After demise of the USSR, lots of efforts have been made to pull out Islam from the lives of people. But the wave of Islamic vigilance in most of Muslim countries is a clear message to the anti-Islam sides. The enmity of the West and East to Islam made Muslims more vigilant and exquisite over their identity.’
Talking to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid, prominent Islamic scholar urged saying that Islam is against despotism and dictatorship. Islam wants to free people from tyranny and defends their liberties. Islam promotes a sober freedom and favors human rights, and even animals’ rights without any excess and deficiency stronger than any other religion.
Shaikh Ismaeelzahi underlined that intriguing states take the advantage of Shia-Sunni differences to create distinctions and clashes between the two sects. Promotion and provocation of ethnic and geographical disputes are some factors which are being misused by enemies of Islam.
‘Iran is a sensitive region because of religious differences. Unfortunately, fanatic sides of both Shias and Sunnis pave the way for our enemies’ sinister plans. There are extremists in the both sects, although Shia extremists are more powerful in Iran. I warn domestic and state rulers and undertakers as well as Shia clerics and Maraaje to be very vigilant; they must not act as the enemy wants. Sometimes we listen that some ultra-bigoted elements send biased reports about the Sunni community and “warn” Shia scholars and the authorities about the “danger” of Wahhabism as they claim! It is amazing to see such reports. The biggest acute for the regime is false biased reports of fanatic people,’ Mawlana Abdol-Hameed pointed.
Shaikh added more saying that partial sides want to intensify the semi-curfew situation of Sunni-majority provinces. May Allah Almighty root out these sinister elements. They warn about a non-existent peril to marginalize Sunnis more than past. People and authorities should be vigilant and the concerned officials must prevent fanatic sides, their journals and websites; they are not on the path of sobriety and just strive to create disputes and dispersion among sects and different casts. Giving chance to such extremists causes unrest and insecurity across the region. Unfortunately, there is no any plan and idea to halt the way of these powerful extremists in the province (Sistan-Baluchistan).
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan indicated to unrest incidents that had taken place in some cities of Sarbaz underscoring that it made everyone anxious. More than one hundred Ulama, Islamic scholars, expressed their deep concerns over the arrest of some scholars and tribal elders in a clear letter to officials. Detained Khotabaa should be released soon. The authorities must follow the case of Jangizahi’s murder very carefully.
‘Whoever is the killer of Molawi Jangizahi should be tried; but arresting others due to guess and canards is unacceptable. The violence in Raask proved that people’s feelings are hurt. They are not satisfied and the officials should remove discrimination and injustice. When the authorities want to try someone, they should not provoke common citizens so the enemies get chances to penetrate. Officials should detain killer of any one, even their opponents. Many persons were shot dead in our region, and the officials could not arrest culprits; in result their relatives took arms and killed accused men; it is the responsibility of rulers,’ rector of Darululoom Zahedan stated.
At the end, Shaikh-us-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi asked Iranian authorities to provide justice to all without any discrimination against any side. He went on to say that those who get money from the house of treasury should have an unbiased comportment with all citizens. Strongest nations lose their power only because of dissension and disputes. Unity can not be achieved by slogans, holding seminars and annual gatherings, rather by deeds and actions solidarity can be obtained.
