Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Iran, Shaikh Abdul-Hameed Ismaeelzahi began his latest Friday sermon on April, 13 by reading holy verse: «وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاء بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاَةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ أُوْلَئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ اللّهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ*وَعَدَ اللّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ أَكْبَرُ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ» [توبه:71-72], emphasizing that it is the duty of every Muslim to stop injustice, sins and misdeeds as much as possible.

He pointed, ‘Calling toward good deeds and forbidding from misdeeds is one of the main responsibilities of Muslims. Every sane person accepts that avoiding Allah’s anger and His punishment is essential. So, people must make serious efforts to reform and save their family members and others in society. Some people think they are good so there is no need to strive for others’ edification; it is a wrong idea and such people are deceived by Satan, in fact.’
Shaikh Abdul-Hameed added more saying that the Muslims’ life style should be Islamic Shari’ah and what ever is the order of Allah Almighty and life of Holy Prophet, peace & blessings be upon him. The atmosphere of Muslims’ homes should be Islamic and all must offer daily prayers, Salah, constantly.
Talking to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan, he underlined saying, ‘The life is for the worship and servitude of Exalted Allah. Regrettably, now-a-days materials and positions have become the goals of lives. While, worshiping Allah is most important aim of life. We must not allow Satan to deprave us. We should obey Allah, the Sublime, not wife and children on the cost of Allah’s anger.’
Khateeb of the Sunni community went on to say that this is the responsibility of Muslims to work hard in reforming society according the brilliant teachings of Holy Qur’an and Sunnah. When a sin is committed in any society, its affects would contain others. When tyranny, oppression and partiality take place, so such behaviors’ affects would not be limited only to tyrant elements; but apathetic people will incur losses as well. Thus, everyone should strive to prevent cruel and tyrant sides from misdeeds.
‘Officials, owners of regimes enjoy full power; they can halt sins and misdeeds easily. Tribal elders, guardians and parents should play their role to maintain peace by adopting Allah’s orders and directions. If we neglect this duty, corruption and perversion would be prevailed across the society; we, our offspring and environment can be victims of that nefarious calamity as well,’ Maulana Abdul-Hameed Ismaeelzahi further stated.
Continuing his points, the eminent Sunni leader said that this is the direction of Islam; a Muslim should be thoughtful for his salvation as well as others. If any blood is shed in a far corner of the world, and anyone remain silent despite his influence, so he will be tried in the court of Allah Exalted. States, power-owners, religious scholars and Khotabaa should show reaction according their influence and authority; they should defend oppressed people’ rights and decry the despot ones. Unfortunately, there is a heavy negligence in this regard now-a-days.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan addressed citizens of all angles of life, particularly Islamic scholars to do their best in the field of calling on goodness and forbidding badness saying, ‘Everyone, especially scholars must worship Allah and prepare themselves for the Resurrection Day. If there are misdeeds like addiction, usury, bribery, fornication, binge, wine-drinking etc, Ulama and others should play their role in order to uproot such sins wisely. All of us responsible to sacrifice for the protection of Islam and support it. Defending the right, Haq, and justice, honesty and good deeds are support of Deen. We can receive Allah’s support by supporting His religion, Islam.’
At the end, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi pointed out towards ongoing famine and problems in region underscoring that these are the results of sins. He advised the audience to struggle for edification of all individuals.
