The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined Islam has the best and most comprehensive civilization that can fulfill the needs of any time.

Talking to thousands of worshipers in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, on Friday 07 Aug. 2015, he said, “Islam is the best and last religion of Allah; a durable and unfailing religion that has constituted laws for all affairs of life. Islamic commands are the best answers for the needs and questions of each era.”

He added more, “Apart from Islamic civilization, all civilizations are imperfect; while Islam has the most developed and cleanest civilization. Islam gave the humanity the best civilization when full ignorance was ruling on and there was lack of knowledge and science.”

Going to examples, Khateeb of Sunnis pointed out, “Islam has established the best commands to protect people’s modesty and purity. Islam asks Muslims to respect ‘privacy’ of others and do not enter into home of anyone but by permission. Getting permission to enter private places is an obligation. Even if someone wants to enter the house of close relatives or any unmarriageable kin, permission is must. But there is no need to get permission to enter public places.”

He said more, “Islam is the religion of health and caring the rights; rights of Allah and His creatures. The Noble Qur’an has called on the believers to lower their gaze and do not look at strange men and women, especially when it is with lust and desire. Also Muslim women are ordered to do not dress in ornate clothing and they must not show off with such dresses before strange men. Islam is the religion of purity and modesty.”

Calling on the audience to be vigilant in the current circumstances, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “In the current era where we see satellite TV channels and net-based sources spread everywhere and entered homes, all should be alert about the modesty of the members of our society; there must be a just and fair sensitivity. Today cunning men strive to deceive girls and attack on the honor of people. Faith, modesty and ardor are important things which should be protected.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid mentioned ‘drug addiction’ a ‘threat’ to the society and said, “There are different vices in the society. Drug addiction is one of them, that is a serious threat. The most dangerous thing is addiction of women as some women run away from their homes in some big cities. Such things carry out the anger of the Almighty.”

Concluding his points, he said, “Our duty is to be vigilant. Ulama, religious parts of the society and all classes should do their best to reform the society by cooperation. Otherwise, by sins and misdeeds the way for divine punishment would be paved.”

Pounak Prayer-room should Return to its First Shape
In the second part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his thanks on sympathy of different figures and associations following the demolition of Pounak prayer-room with the Sunni community of Iran, calling on the Iranian officials to resolve this issue discreetly.

In a part of his sermon, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said, “The biggest challenges of Muslims in the Middle East and other regions are extremism, sectarian divisions and clashes.”

“Due to these challenges, in many Muslim states the respectable places such as Masjids, Husseiniyas and other worship places are targeted. However, the religious places must be in peace and no one is allowed to assault on them”, he added more.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan called the demolition of Pounak prayer-room ‘unexpected’ and said, “Sunnis didn’t expect such an incident. In the last week, many domestic and foreign personalities and organizations expressed their condolences and sympathy with the Sunni community of Iran following the demolition of the prayer-room. We are grateful and expect the issue would be resolved.”

He said, “The tolerant nation of Iran, including Shias and Sunnis, expect the piteous officials and reins of the current government to follow up the case of Pounak prayer-room; this anxiety must be over.”

“Probably the destroyers of Pounak prayer-room have some pretexts for their act, but as Allah knows well, in all Sunni masjids and prayer-rooms only worship is the aim; there has not been anything against Shias and the regime”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.

Strongly rebuffing a rumor about ‘nine Sunni mosques’ in Tehran, he made it clear, “Some elements spread rumors that there are nine Masjids for Sunnis in Tehran city. While, they are only rental houses for offering prayers in congregation, where 30 to 100 worshipers offer prayers; they belong to common people which can be changed.”

Urging on fraternity and unity, the chairman of CCSS said, “Fraternity is very important and vital. By the grace of Allah, all Sunnis in Iran believe in brotherhood and proximity of Muslims inside and outside of the country. We think Muslims should be united in the world. We go on the path of unity and national security. We want unity of Iran with other Muslim states, too.”

Concluding his points, he said, “Pounak prayer-room must return to its previous condition. We are sure the elites of the regime were not satisfied and aware of the matter. They should give us chance of thanking after criticizing on the demolition. I’d like to call on worshipers to make Du’a and carry out good deeds for getting rid of this problem.”

Reporters’ duty to reflex correct news & incidents
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to Reporters’ Day in Iran and said, “I congratulate Reporters’ Day to all reporters, journalists and correspondents who have a serious and dangerous duty in the society. They should reflex and convey only correct news and incidents; it is the responsibility of a reporter in each society.”

“This class of society, if carries out its duties correctly and avoids incorrect reports, it will be the best service for humanity and nation,” he pointed.
