Khateeb of Sunnis urged on ‘avoiding from Haram wealth’ and called on ‘faith, righteous deeds, counseling on the truth and patience’ among the Sunni worshippers in Zahedan on Friday, 27th March, 2015.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid began his speech by the Noble chapter of ‘al-Asr’ and said: “Al-Asr chapter is small in size but has great meanings and comprehensive teachings. It is as comprehensive and full of guidance as Imam Shafe’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if only the chapter al-Asr had revealed, it was enough for the guidance of mankind.”

“Before this chapter, the Almighty mentioned the greed and avarice of people for collecting money, wealth and power. It is the nature of mankind to struggle for more; power-holders work hard to extend the borders of their countries. People want more according to their levels they have.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out, “This tendency is with mankind until the death. It happens while they have not prepared for death and the everlasting life. Allah has bestowed mankind His caliphate on the earth; they are caliphs of Allah and it is an honor for mankind. But human beings are destroyed and in lose if they do not have four characteristics.”

Alluding to the four characteristics, Khateeb of Sunnis said, “Faith, righteous deeds and counseling each other to hold on to truth and enjoin on each other patience. Faith means to believe in one God, Allah Almighty and avoid tenets which have the mixture of Shirk, associating with Allah. There is no any deed, tenet and behavior more important than Iman (faith). Iman is the biggest blessing of Allah that is the base of religion.”

“A part from Iman, deeds also should be correct. Good deeds contain Salah (prayers), Sawm (fasting), Zakah, Hajj, Jihad and other similar deeds. Good behavior with all creatures of the Almighty and even animals must be treated well. Commercial deals also must be according to Islamic laws. A truthful believer avoids usurious deals,” he added more.

Urging on the execution of justice, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the third factor of mankind’s salvation and said, “Enjoining on each other the truth and steadfast is one of the general duties. We must be on the truth, believe in it, act upon it and call on others to do so and execute justice. We should not be heedless over what is going on around us. There are big weaknesses in this regard in the Muslim society.”

“Patience is very important as it is the fourth character that saves human beings from destruction. We should be patient if any disaster and calamity occur. A patient person bridles his feelings and wishes. Committing sins is the result of impatience.”

Haram income is fatal
Alluding to outbreak of illegal and Haram deals in the society, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, “Usurious deals and bargains have spread in all markets. Such deals are equal with the declaration of war by Allah and His Messenger. Some people get loans indiscreetly by ostensible deals. In any bargain, the both sides should have satisfaction.”
The eminent Islamic scholar of Sunnis in Iran addressed the audience, “Make your income free of suspicious money. Do not feed your children illegal livelihood that destroys their nurture. Seeking Halal food and legal income is a worship. So do not destroy the future of your children by prohibited income.”

Muslim leaders must resolve crises by dialogue
The outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar pointed out to the deteriorating situations in some Muslim states and said, “Unfortunately, in the ongoing conflicts in some Muslim countries Muslims are being killed from both sides and their possessions are destroyed. It takes place in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and other states.”

“Regretfully, Muslims have been busy in interior conflicts and proxy wars. Instead of development, peace, Islamic friendship and fraternity, they fight with each other. Thus they bear scientific, political, religious and cultural loses.”

Khateeb of Sunnis in Iran termed ‘war and conflict’ in Muslim countries the cause of ‘backwardness’ and further said, “Conflicts in Muslims states make them backward in the world. Today’s wars are very ruinous.”

Expressing his concerns over the current condition of Yemen, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan underlined, “The situation in some states including Yemen has been complex. Differences of regional powers aggravated the crisis in these countries. On the other hand, imperial powers like Israel add fuel to the fire because of their interests. Neo-colonial states do not seek any fundamental resolution for crises; they fight against effects instead of reasons.”

“Crises cannot be resolved unless Muslim leaders and rulers sit together and conduct dialogue and multilateral talks. By aerial and ground attacks we only see more conflicts and wars in result. Violence creates more violence. All political sides should sit together and constitute unity governments instead of fighting.”

Iranian nation elected “Islamic Republic” for justice
In another part of his speech before Sunni worshippers in Zahedan, Khateeb of Sunnis alluded to the Islamic Republic Day in Iran and said, “Iranians voted ‘Islamic Republic’ on 1st April, 2015 in a referendum. People elected this system to have justice and get rid of discriminations.”

Addressing Iranian leaders, he said, “All of us are responsible to protect this system and support it. The leaders must strive to ensure the goals of the revolution and implement Islamic justice in the society. Then all sides of the nation including Shias and Sunnis. All communities must enjoy their rights under the rule of Islamic Republic of Iran.”

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid applauded ‘Haji Rahmatullah Mohammadani’, a sincere member of the donation office of Darululoom Zahedan who passed away last week on Saturday.
