Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, during the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan on October 31, 2025, expressed regret over the increase in crises in the country, identifying the “management crisis” as the main reason. He emphasized that a “serious remedy” must be devised to save the country and the people from this situation.
A New Crisis Emerges in the Country Every Day
According to the official website of the Office of the Sunni Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid stated: “There are various crises in the country, and a new crisis emerges every day. This situation has caused concern and distress among different strata and classes of the Iranian nation, who are the true owners of the country.”
He added: “Iran possesses immense potential and blessings. If these blessings and potentials were managed and utilized properly, not only the Iranian nation but also a portion of the people in neighboring countries would benefit from them.”
“Weak Management” is the Main Reason for the Country’s Crises
The Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan said: “On one hand, sanctions have put pressure on the country and the people. On the other hand, the country is facing crises in domestic and foreign policies, and in the sectors of economy, education, health, water, environment, dams, and other areas. ‘Weak management’ is the main reason for all these crises. Today, the country is not actually facing an ‘economic crisis,’ but rather a ‘management crisis.'”
He elaborated: “When the country’s management is weak, or there is no centralized management, and there are multiple decision-making centers, and there is no focus on protecting national interests, and capable managers are not appointed—rather, instead of focusing on the principle of ‘meritocracy’ and law enforcement, ‘cronyism’ and ‘nepotism’ prevail—and when those in power do not adhere to the law, and various hands have influence over the country’s economic and income resources, and many powerful organizations seize these resources, crises and challenges arise in the country, harming its administration. There are some individuals whose power exceeds that of some official institutions and departments, and whatever they want gets done.”
A “Serious Remedy” Must Be Devised to Save the Country and Nation from These Problems
Mawlana Abdolhamid continued: “The existing crises in the country require officials, the people, academics, and all those whose voices are heard to think seriously and devise a remedy to save the country and the nation from these problems. Sitting idly by in the face of these crises is useless. A clear future and horizon must be shown to rescue the people from these problems.”
He emphasized: “There is a need for consultation. Past experiences have proven that if policies and decision-making are not centralized, it leads to disarray and division.”
“Justice” is the Foundation of Any System and Government
At the end of this part of his speech, the Friday Prayer Imam of Zahedan called “justice” important and vital for all systems and states, saying: “Justice is the foundation of any system and government, especially the states that attribute themselves to the religion of Islam. Justice must be implemented in all political, economic, and social matters and among all segments of the nation.”
He added: “In our country, women comprise more than half the population; their rights and dignity must be respected. Likewise, different ethnicities and religious communities living in the country must live under the shadow of justice in a system that attributes itself to Islam, and their rights must be observed.”
Mawlana Abdolhamid stressed: “Claiming for ‘Islam’ is not a source of pride; rather, acting on Islam is a source of pride. My advice to all those who have made their countries’ systems ‘Islamic’ or want to make them Islamic is to think about ‘justice’ before anything else. If there is no justice and fairness, it is useless. Allah Almighty has commanded everyone, especially rulers, to have an equal view of all people, whether they are supporters, opponents, or critics.”
