Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid, in a statement, described the tragic assassination and martyrdom of Mulla Kamal Salahzehi—one of the respected and trusted figures of Balochistan—as “a profoundly distressing and shocking event.” While condemning this act of terror in the strongest terms and expressing his heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family and relatives, he called for the “identification, arrest, and punishment of the perpetrators.”
According to the official website of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, the full text of Mawlana Abdolhamid’s message reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
“Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”
The unjust martyrdom of Mulla Kamal Salahzehi (may Allah have mercy on him) was a profoundly shocking incident that deeply saddened the people of the province.
The late Mulla Kamal had recently devoted his life to resolving local disputes, preventing fratricide, and restoring peace. Owing to his influence and popularity among the people, he achieved remarkable success in this regard.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of the province—especially to the family and relatives of the late Mulla Kamal—and I pray to Almighty Allah for His forgiveness and elevation of the deceased’s ranks in the Hereafter.
Those who murdered Mulla Kamal have committed a grave crime. I strongly condemn this heinous act and urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to identify, arrest, and punish the perpetrators of this cowardly assassination.
