Selected Sayings of Shaikh al-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid at the Graduation Ceremony of Students from the “Taleem al-Quran” Seminary in Hasanabad, Zabol County, Thursday, (December 12, 2024):

Divine Test
• Allah Almighty created humans and tests them in this world.
• The earth, the sky, and all the facilities and blessings were created for humans.
• Allah Almighty has created life and death to test who does the best deeds.
• Allah Almighty is the instructor of our bodies and souls. Those who regard Allah as the trainer of their body and soul and act according to this belief are successful in this test.

Following the Faith
• Acting according to the faith benefits both your religion and worldly life.
• The better the deeds, the more pleasing they are to Allah Almighty, and the greater their value and reward; whether it’s prayer, dhikr, Hajj, or reciting the Qur’an with sincerity and quality.
• “Quality” is more important than “quantity”; ten high-quality rak’ahs of prayer may be more pleasing and preferable than a thousand rak’ahs without quality.
• Allah created humans for action to show who truly obeys His commands.
• All the names of Allah are blessed and beloved, but the attribute “Rabb” is particularly cherished by Allah. If this attribute is mentioned in prayers, Allah Almighty will accept the prayer sooner and better.
• Most Qur’anic prayers begin with “Rabb.” In our prayers, rather than using Persian terms, we should employ the phrase “Rabb.”
• The God who nourishes the body with various foods, fruits, and blessings, and nurtures the soul through prayers, fasting, and beautiful commandments, is our benefactor.
• Allah is the Creator of all worlds. He is the Creator of the Prophets and Saints and needs no one, yet all Prophets and Saints are in need of Him. He has no partner, nor has He made anyone His partner, nor does He need any assistance in His creation of the world.
• In the verse “Indeed, those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah,’” faith and belief are discussed, and in “Then they remained steadfast,” acting upon that belief is mentioned.
• When you say “Our Lord is Allah,” you must obey all His commandments, refrain from prohibited acts, and maintain good manners.
• A Muslim should be strong and determined to act in accordance with their faith. A Muslim is one who follows Allah’s commands.
• If one commits theft, murder, or fraud, their claim to follow Allah’s commands is contradictory.
• If one’s actions do not match their claim of Islam, that claim is false and invalid.

Morality and Perseverance
• Good manners are those taught to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and Allah praised him for his magnificent character, saying he possessed “great conduct.”
• The character of the Prophet was based on acting upon the Qur’an; “great conduct” is precisely this.
• The condition for accepting Islam and salvation from Hell is that we follow the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) character and persevere in adhering to His law.
• Becoming a memorizer of the Qur’an or a scholar is easy, but being a true Muslim is difficult. Being a Muslim means listening to and obeying Allah.
• Both Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) were Muslims, fully submitting to Allah. However, the Muslim community today faces corruption, and many essential commandments of the faith are neglected.
• We should strive to be submissive to Allah, as Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael were willing to sacrifice for the sake of Allah, with full love and devotion.
• All the worldly things like children, wealth, status, and material blessings are insignificant compared to the treasure of faith.
• The world and its benefits are fleeting, while the hereafter is everlasting. Sacrifice worldly gains for the hereafter, but do not exchange your faith for worldly things—such actions are fruitless.
• We must strive to seek Allah’s pleasure with love and devotion.
• Stay awake and awaken others, Insha’Allah you will succeed in this world and the next.
• Work for the faith wholeheartedly, continue striving for self-purification and reform until death, and abandon both outward and inward sins.

Unity and Brotherhood
• Praise be to Allah, there is love among all Iranians, and we feel brotherhood and sympathy for all the people of Iran.
• We share Islamic, national, and human brotherhood, and we respect all people around the world.
• The ethnic groups of the province are united, and anyone who tries to differentiate between Baloch and Sistani people is mistaken. The brotherhood between Sistanis and Baloch people has historical roots.
• We welcome any government or ruler who unites us, and we reject any attempts to divide us.
• We must all respect each other’s rights.
• In life’s benefits and all challenges, we share in each other’s struggles.
• The Qur’an, the Prophet, and Islam have taught us humanity.
