Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the blasphemy of the Prophet Muhammad in France:

Insulting Religions Illogic, Unwise

Alluding to the France’s offensive behaviour against Islam and targeting the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid of Zahedan, Iran considered such acts contrary to the logic and wisdom.

He stressed on the necessity of an international response against such behaviors in a part of his Friday speech of Oct. 30, 2020.

“Blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad is spitting against heaven which falls on the man’s head. It hurts the blasphemers themselves as they see the results of their insults”, said the most influential Sunni leader of Iran at Zahedan’s Friday gathering.

“France is a developed country with good people. They are the president of France and its weak and incompetent officials who have pushed this country to insecurity,” president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

‘Why don’t the French people protest against their incompetent president and stop offenders?’ he questioned.

The Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “Wise people never insult the sanctities of others. In fact, blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad is an insult to the nearly two billion Muslims who make up the second largest population in the world”.

The most outstanding Sunni scholar of Iran continued: “Blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad is as an insult to the prophets Jesus, Moses and other divine prophets.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid addressed French leaders by saying: “Why do you offend the sanctities of others?! Why don’t you follow logic if you have any evidence? Blasphemy against the Prophet and supporting the insulters hit and damage your country. Blasphemy is not freedom of expression; rather it is freedom of insult. You claim that you are fighting terrorism and extremism, while you have created terrorism yourself.”

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid described blasphemy violation of freedom of expression and said: “Is it possible to offend and insult someone’s parents and say it is freedom of speech!? Actually this is not freedom of speech; it’s an insult and slander”.

Addressing the international communities, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid insisted on enacting a law that bans and criminalizes blasphemy against any nation and religion.

He said: “As freedom of speech is an international covenant and recognized right for all; there should be a law and international covenant which forbids insulting sanctities of religions and nations. The Europe should think more about this issue and end such offenses forever.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further addressed heads of Muslim countries and emphasized on the necessity of unity and fraternity.

“If Muslim countries were united relying on the principle of dialogue making a union, we have not seen suppression of Muslims in China, India, occupied Palestine and other parts of the world and we have not seen such blasphemous acts against Islam and the prophet Muhammad PBUH” he underlined.

“It was the Prophet PBUH who united the world with each other. Blasphemy against the Prophet PBUH is a blasphemy against every Muslim”, Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan pointed.

“Muslims must be united actually by faith not by slogans”, he added more.

Shaikh-ul-Islam considered dispute as a betrayal to all Muslims.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH was a divine gift to mankind

Pointing out to the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, in his first part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said that Prophet Muhammad was a divine gift to mankind.

In such a situation, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid encouraged Muslims for sending salutations and studying the life of the Holy Prophet and practicing it.

At the end, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stressed on following health protocols, social distances and using face masks.
