Shaikh Ab. Hamid said in his Friday sermon:

Islam Emphasizes on Saving, Forbids from Extravagance

Referring to the emphasis of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah on avoiding “extravagance” and “low spending”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the necessity of saving in all areas.

He was talking to thousands of worshippers before Friday prayers on June 26, 2020.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Unfortunately, extravagance has increased today, especially among our Iranians. Many nations around the world are avoiding extravagance even though they are not Muslims, but Muslims, despite seeing Islam’s emphasis on avoiding extravagance, use everything more than the needs.

Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan continued: “Extravagance is not only condemned in the consumption of water and electricity, but it is also condemned in the consumption of bread and food.”

“Unfortunately, food is wasted at homes, weddings and etc. Bread, meat and rice are discarded, while many families do not see meat in their meals for several months”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

He urged that water should not be consumed too much. “We should not use too much water during ablution and taking bath”, he added.

“According to the narrations, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to perform ablution with about one liter of water and bathe with four liters of water”, prominent scholar of Sunnis in Iran said.

“We should not waste money on consuming water and electricity. If we reduce the amount of our bill by saving water and electricity, the Ministry of Energy will not face a problem with producing and distributing of electricity and water”, he added more.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized on saving in dressing and cloths and said: “There is extravagance on preparing and consuming cloths, especially among women. Sanctions, economic problems, and COVID 19 have hit the country’s industry, production field and economy. Therefore, we should consider this critical situation and save on the consumption of everything, including food, clothing, water and electricity”.

“The Holy Qur’an warns against extravagance and Allah has called the extravagant as the ‘brothers of Satan.’ Therefore, contentment, moderation, and avoidance from extravagance are consistent with the teachings of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Shari’ah, and in accordance with rationality,” Sunnis Friday Khateeb in Zahedan added more.

Patients of COVID 19 should visit doctors as soon as possible
While expressing his regret over the outbreak of COVID 19, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged that patients should see related doctors as soon as possible.

“Although there are some herbal remedies that are effective in reducing the disease, but people still need to be visited by doctors as soon as possible”, Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said.

Implementation of justice, fighting against oppression and corruption” are the most important missions of the judiciary
In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid congratulated the “Judiciary Week” saying: “The judiciary is one of the most important pillars and offices in every country of the world.”

“The most important duty and mission of the judiciary is to fight against oppression and injustice and to take the rights of the oppressed people from oppressors”, Iranian Sunnis’ leader said.

He further said: “Fair and impartial judgment is the biggest form of worship for judges, because that is what God is pleased with. We hope that the honorable judges will be successful in the implementation of justice, in fighting against corruption, and in protection of the rights of the oppressed”.

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed to the establishment of a special clinic for patients with congenital disorders and anomalies by the “Mohkam Charity” in Zahedan and said: “Mohkam Charity’s clinic in Zahedan is one of the good and advanced clinics.”

He also expressed his deep concerns and sorrow over the passing of some famous Islamic scholars in recent days in Balochistan.
