Pointing out to the spread and increase of pests and disasters in the world, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid advised Muslims to repent and return to Allah the Almighty.
He was talking to thousands of worshipers before Friday prayers in Zahedan on June 12, 2020.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Allah is dissatisfied with those who just talk and do not act on Shari’ah. Allah says: “O believers! Why do you profess that which you do not practice?”

“Allah is displeased with those who make promises and do not keep their promises and say that they love Allah and His Messenger, but do not obey God’s commands and the commands of His Messenger. Allah is displeased with someone who says that he sacrifices his life and property for the sake of Allah, but whenever he hears Allah’s command, he disobeys and does not follow his words,” president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan continued: “Allah does not like claims without deeds and actions, but He wants from us deeds and actions. Human beings should accept facts and realities and act on the truth. Those who want to know the facts they should refer to the Holy Qur’an; all advice and guidance of the Holy Qur’an are true. If you follow the Holy Qur’an, you will be succeed and closer to Allah the Almighty”.

He said: “The matter is that many people don’t see their faults, weaknesses, mistakes and shortcomings; they only blame others”.

“Allah has given us various blessings. We should be thankful to Allah, repent and ask for forgiveness for our shortcoming,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.

“Why don’t we repent of committing oppression and hiding the truth? Why don’t some people stop abusing due rights of the weak, kidnapping, murdering, cheating, and bribery, fraud, and corruption? Why don’t we reconsider our lives and actions?” the eminent Iranian Sunni leader questioned.

“We need to correct our mistakes. Maybe what we think is right, is wrong”, he said.

Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan continued his speech by pointing to the prevalence of various plagues and disasters in the world, and said: “The plague that has destroyed the world today is for making the world aware of the “truth”.

“The one who seeks the truth, Allah will guide him anywhere of the world”, he added more.

“Salman Farsi sought justice in Ramhormoz, Isfahan, and sought guidance. Allah brought him to Medina and gave him guidance. Unfortunately, today there are few people who seek guidance, facts and realities”. The most influential scholar of Sunnis in Iran said.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “Allah says: We test human beings with good and bad, in order that they might turn”. “Hardships and troubles that we face today are not natural or coincidental, Rather, they are tests from Allah for human beings to return to Him”, Imam of Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said.

In such a situation, that the world is facing difficulties, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the necessity of repentance and emphasized avoiding sin with all its forms.

Observance of health protocols is not contrary to “Tawakkul
In the final part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his regret over the increase of COVID 19 in the province of Sistan-Balochistan and across the country, saying: “Unfortunately, COIVD 19 has spread in many parts of the country due to people’s negligence on observing health protocols.”

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid forbade from holding ceremonies and gatherings, saying: “Due to a condolence ceremony in one of the villages of the province, infected many people with the COVID 19.Therefore, people should not gather at weddings and for condolence. Weddings should be held with a very small crowd. Those who want to spend and pay money for waleemah; they can share the same food with the poor and needy people of the city.”

“Condolence ceremonies are not necessary. Our people are aware of the issues and will not complain if someone does not attend the funeral or condolence ceremony”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid emphasized: “Observance of health protocols are not only contrary to Tawakkul and trust in Allah, but it is the same as Tawakkul is.”

“Maintaining people’s health is very important which is also emphasized by the Islamic teachings”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.
