The most influential Iranian Sunni scholar expressed his happiness on the victory of Taliban in the recent peace talks and called withdrawal of foreign occupying forces the demand and desire of all Muslims and free-minded people.

The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid published his Friday sermon of 1st Feb. 2019 where he said: “It’s the time of happiness as Taliban and people of Afghanistan could compel the occupying foreign troops to withdraw. No one is happy with occupation of his country and giving his fate to others.”

“The fate of Afghanistan should be in the hands of its own people. Afghans should sit together and decide about the future of their country independently,” he added more.

President of Darululoom Zahedan said: “After the collapse of the Soviet Union many countries tried to destabilize Afghanistan and make it insecure. All praise be to Allah that accepted prayers of His servants and made anti-occupying forces victorious who sacrificed for their country. We hope to see a developed and peaceful Afghanistan in future.”

 

A message to Taliban

Expressing his happiness from the “maturity of Taliban in political experiences” and said: “Afghan Taliban has tolerated many difficulties and hence they obtained many political experiences; now they themselves can conduct negotiations and decide.”

“We suggest Taliban to stand on their own feet and lead their negotiations with foresight. They should give priority to the interests of Afghan nation as other nations and countries who just think of their interests,” Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid underlined.

He concluded his points by saying that a peaceful Afghanistan is in favor of all countries, especially the neighboring countries.

 

How the revolution in Iran can be protected?

At the end of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid alluded to the 40th anniversary of Islamic revolution in Iran and said: “The revolution in Iran can go ahead by unity and unanimity. Unity can be maintained when people are happy and satisfied.”

He also urged on uprooting financial corruption and said: “The ex-regime was collapsed due to injustice, corruption, arrogance and relying on the powers.”
