Security authorities of Iran have banned Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid from traveling to Qatar. He was on the way to Qatar in Tehran.

SunniOnline reported, the most influential Iranian Sunni scholar had been invited by the Baloch community of Qatar to visit the country.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid left Zahedan, provincial capital of Sistan-Balochistan to Tehran on Monday 30th April, 2018. He was going to leave Tehran to Doha on Wednesday, but the security officials forbad him from the trip.

They warned president of Darululoom Zahedan to force him to leave airport.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid is chairman of the coordination of Sunni seminaries in Sistan-Balochistan, member of the Muslim World League of Makkah, president of Darululoom Zahedan and Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan.

He has been facing restrictions for traveling inside the country, too, but the province of Sistan-Balochistan and Tehran city.

Recently Shaikh Abdol-Hamid wanted to visit Rameshk city in Kerman province, but the authorities did not allow him to enter the city. Rameshk is a Baloch-populated town which was a part of Balochistan province.
