Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan termed “reciting the Noble Qur’an”, “establishing the prayers” and “remembering Allah” three influential and important pivots in spiritual life of individuals and societies.

The official website Shaikh Abdol-Hamid began his sermon of Jan. 26, 2018 by the Noble Qur’anic verse: «اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ» and said: “The Noble Qur’an is a book which changes human beings. The spiritual life of nations and states has roots in focusing on this valuable book.”

“Everywhere the prophetic mission of Rasoulullah PBUH is mentioned in the Qur’an, it has been urged on reciting the Noble Qur’an as the duty of him before any other duty. It shows the scale of the importance of reciting the Qur’an,” he added more.

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “The Qur’an excites spirituality and reforms mankind from inside. It is an unexampled book and miracle. It challenges the whole world to bring a book like Qur’an or at least a chapter like its chapters.”

Alluding to the wonderful influences of the Qur’an, he pointed out: “The Noble Qur’an is an eternal miracle of Islam and its influence is wonderful, too. The more you recite the Qur’an, the more you receive the mercies and blessings of Allah. The Almighty rebuffs various kinds of calamities and diseases by the Qur’an.”

He concluded his points and said: “None of worships can make us needless of reciting the Noble Qur’an. All classes of the society should recite the Noble Qur’an repeatedly. It is the best Dhikr and remembrance of Allah. It is regrettable to see scholars, Huffadh and Ulama that they recite the Qur’an lesser than others.”

Khateeb of Sunnis continued his speech and said: “For offering prayers, the Almighty has chosen the word ‘iqâmah’ which is the most comprehensive word to represent the meaning of ‘offering’. It means the prayers should be established and offered in accordance with the rules and accurately.”

“When you stand for prayers, present your heart, too and worship Him humbly. Consider the status of the Almighty when you talk with Him during prayers,” he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid made it clear: “The prayers (Salah) makes the person humble and cause him/her to leave sins. If we offer prayers but we cannot get rid of misdeeds, then we should reform our prayers; it is a clue that we do not establish prayers as we are ordered.”

At the end of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid shed light on the importance of dhikr, remembrance of Allah, saying: “Dhikr means to remember Allah either by tongue, acts or heart. Never show any negligence about taqwa/piety and remembering Allah.”
