The prominent Islamic scholar urged on Muslim Ummah’s unity saying that Iranian Sunnis do not believe in “violence” and “subversion”, but they want “equality” and “justice”.

The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, reported his sermon of Jan. 19, 2018 where he termed the Noble Qur’an and Islam the pivots of unity and solidarity among Muslims.

He said: “We have fraternity with all human beings and with Muslims, in addition, we have Islamic fraternity, too.”

“Muslims, from any background and nationality, are equal. Sectarianism should be abandoned and no one can consider himself better than others. According to Islam, priority is by piety and Taqwa,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.

The president of Darululoom Zahedan said: “The Muslim rulers, Ulama and intellectuals should work hard to take Muslims back towards the Qur’an and Sunnah; they should avoid from sectarianism. This can make the Muslim world united.”

“The Iranian nation is contained from different ethnic and religious sects; they are brothers in humanity, religion and national identity. We all have shares in the benefits and losses of the country. We like all Iranians regardless to their sect and race,” the prominent Islamic scholar pointed.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “We call on human beings to realize due rights of each other and we invite Muslims to maintain their unity.”

All Iranians should be free according to the constitution
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan asked the authorities to follow up the problems of people carefully and put away the pressures.

He said: “All problems and pressures are not ‘economic’; political and social pressures should be rebuffed, too. All Iranians should enjoy freedom according to the constitution.”

“Unemployment and religious pressures are the other problems which should be resolved. People’s demands must be handled seriously,” the president of Darululoom Zahedan further said.

He said: “Iranian Sunnis consider themselves part of the Iranian nation; they do not want violence. We just want equality and justice. There should not be discrimination in Sunni-populated areas.”

National Security Council’s duty to execute leader’s order about “removing discrimination”
Alluding to the order of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei about removing discrimination among Iranians, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “We expect the president to emphasize more on authorities about removing discrimination and implementation of justice. They should not discriminate among people under the influence of local pressure groups in ministries and offices.”

“The household of the prophet PBUH sacrificed their lives for implementation of justice and they imposed no difference among Muslims. Justice is a pillar of the religion in Shia sect. while the imitation of the household needs implementation of justice,” Khateeb of Sunnis underlined.

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his sympathy with the families of the victims of Sanchi oil tanker who lost their lives near China in a disastrous collision.
