“I’d like to call on all media outlets and satellite TV channels of Shia and Sunni communities to preserve each other’s respect. They should protect the dignity of sects and personalities. The state TV and radio (IRIB) should introduce Sunnis more in order to remove misconceptions about Shia-Sunni differences,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out.

Recognizing rights reciprocally makes Muslims close to each other
The eminent Iranian Sunni scholar termed “reciprocal recognition of rights” the most important and influential way to reach to unity.

He alluded to the status of the Qur’an and Sunnah and said: “Muslims are proud of their valuable heritages such as the Noble Qur’an and beautiful teachings of the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. We have a civilization which is the need of all human beings, but most of the people miss it and they cannot bring an example of it.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid criticized negligence of Muslims in acting upon the Islamic commands, especially the five-time prayers. He said the Muslim scholars should find any solution for this negligence.
