Reacting to the distortion of his speech about Kermanshah earthquake by domestic extremists, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said his words were distorted by sectarian elements who cannot tolerate unity of the nation.

The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid quoted his Friday sermon of 1st Dec. 2017 where he said: “Two weeks ago I just asked all countrymen to repent and ask for the forgiveness of the Almighty. But some expert distorters cut my words into different pieces to create dissension and disharmony among the ethnic communities. These extremists earn money by creating dissension among people.”

“The divisive elements have plans for creating troubles and dissension among ethnic and religious communities. They wanted to use Velayat satellite TV channel subtly, but the vigilance of Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and other officials failed their efforts,” he added more.

Mawlana Abdol-Hamid made it clear: “We know the divisive sides and the officials also know them well. They always spread lies and blames on public figures and Ulama distorting their words. They cut and affix some parts of their videos and announce awards for the ones who can find any mistake in my words if I recite any verse or poem.”

“Praise be to Allah, the Iranian nation, including Shias and Sunnis, knows well the will-wishers of the nation and country. They are vigilant and thankful people. So the sinister divisive cannot defame those who work for the interests of Iranians,” the president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

He addressed the distorters and said: “What’s your fear from me? If you think I’ve got popularity among the Iranian nation, you should be sure you cannot dislodge the popularity which has been put in the hearts of people by the Almighty. You just want to defame me because you’re afraid my position among Iranians.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid advised the divisive to leave their bad acts; otherwise their trial would be with the Almighty.

He expressed his especial thanks to all figures that took stance against the distorters and responded the baseless blames of them.

It is noteworthy some extremists fabricated a video that Shaikh Abdol-Hamid had called the recent quake a ‘divine punishment on the people of Kermanshah.’ While he just asked all people to repent to Allah.
