Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the great characteristics of Islam and the Last Messenger of Allah and reminded the sacrifices of the Companions for spreading Islam, as he urged Muslim nation owed the prophet Mohammad PBUH and Sahabah.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan began his sermon of 7th April, 2017 by the Noble verses of the Qur’an: «مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَى سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُمْ مَغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا» and said: “Islam, which is the religion of sobriety and it is away from extremes, has been sent to all until the judgment day.”
“It was the aim of the Almighty to gather all divine temporary religions within a comprehensive and everlasting religion. Allah has collected all teachings and excellences of other religions and prophets in the perfect religion of Islam and Rasoulullah, peace be upon him. The Noble Qur’an has gathered all beauties of the previous divine books, too,” he added more.
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid further said: “Allah has sent Islam to dominate on other religions and spread in all corners of the world. In the case of reasoning and justification, none of religions can dominate Islam. Qur’an is the strongest proof for truthfulness of Islam; it is a miracle that challenges everyone until the last day.”
“Islam has superiority to all religions regarding directions and rulings. The rulings of Islam are not out of human abilities. If the different commands of Islam are executed in the world, the whole world will be peaceful,” he pointed out.
Sahabah, the best members of Ummah for the best religion and prophet
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan alluded to the role of Sahabah, may Allah be pleased with them, and said: “Allah Almighty chose for propagating of His best religion the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, and He also selected Sahabah to spread this religion in the world accompanying His last messenger who are the best group among the people after prophets.”
“As Islam, Qur’an and Rasoulullah are unexampled, the community of Sahabah is also unique. They were the cleanest and most capable members of Ummah who sacrificed their all assets to support Islam. They were not aware about the future of Islam and their power; they were serving Islam sincerely,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized.
He said: “The Almighty has introduced the companions of the prophet ‘soft’ with each other and ‘hard’ with the infidels. These were eager to offer prayers and worship their Only Lord a lot.”
“The companions of the prophet did not worship Allah hypocritically. Their only intention was the pleasure of the Almighty. Their faces were brightened due to worshiping the Almighty and offering prayers. The virtues of Sahabah have been expressed in Torah and Bible, too.”
Shaikh Isma’eelzahi concluded his points about the companions of the prophet by saying: “All Muslims around the world owe the prophet Mohammad and his companions. They should love them and follow their footprints.”
‘Capability’ & ‘experience’; should be realized in election
In another part of his sermon, the Friday imam of Zahedan alluded to the registration of candidates for presidential and council elections and said: “People should ignore personal, sectarian and tribal interests in elections, preferring national and public interests.”
“Building the city and country, implementing justice, law and equality in the country should be our priority. We should elect the ones who behave with the nation equally as they are equal in rights,” the prominent Islamic scholar said.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined at the end of his speech: “Discrimination among the Iranian nation is against the Islamic Shari’ah and wisdom. National unity can be achieved by equality and justice. Therefore capable and experienced candidates should be elected for presidency and seats of councils.”
