The eminent Islamic scholar in Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eel termed the calamities and troubles faced by the mankind and the critical situation of the world the “fruits of human beings’ deeds” and urged on repentance of Muslims.

“SunniOnline” quoted the website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Khateeb and Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan as saying in the sermon of Dec. 23, 2016: “By studying the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah it can be understood easily that all changes in the society and all calamities and plagues which are faced by people in this world and the Hereafter are the results of their own deeds.”

“But the Almighty forgives and remits many of human beings’ sins and misdeeds, because if He tries and upbraids mankind for their all misdeeds, the world would not be livable and inhabitable neither for mankind nor animals. But Allah is the most merciful of the merciful ones and gives His servants a respite they might understand their mistakes,” he added more.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan further said, “There are many people who misuse the kindness and respite of the Almighty and commits more sins; such people think they are free to commit any kind of sins. Different kinds of sins have been spread in the society. Honesty and truthfulness have been weak and pale; people do not fulfill their promises. Adultery, usury and drinking vine are common nowadays. People’s tenets about the Resurrection Day and divine punishment have been weak, too.”

“When sins and corruption spread in a society, the Almighty sends His punishments for the individuals in that society. The divine punishment comes in different shapes. Muslims have forgotten their faith on the Almighty Allah and His last messenger, they violate the rights of others; thus they are indulged in sectarian and tribal disputes,” he alluded to the consequences of sins.

The Hadith teacher at Darululoom Zahedan added more, “When people commit sins, the Sublime cuts His outward and inward mercies. Many of the people are worried due to famine and dearth as well as dullness of market. All are the results of sins and negligence.”

“Every of us should repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness as due to our misdeeds famine has hit the earth. The man who repents is like the one who has not committed any sin at all,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid underlined.

Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan concluded his points and said, “Allah Almighty has said in His noble book, the Qur’an: ‘Then I said, “Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Surely He is the most forgiving. He will send down abundant rain from the sky for you, increase your wealth and sons; and grant you gardens and waterways.’ [71:12] The one who commits sins, in fact s/he behaves unjustly with him/herself. But Allah is the most merciful and forgiving and He accepts the repentance of His servants.”
