Alluding to disqualification of thousands of candidates for the Majlis general elections by the Guardian Council in Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged ‘foresight’ of this entity can make the nation more united bringing them to the scene.

Talking to tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, the outstanding Iranian Sunni leader criticized mass disqualification of the registered candidates of the Majlis elections in the sermon of Jan. 22, 2016 and said, “Keeping in mind, Iran has many enemies who intend to boost distances among the parts of the society, disqualifying in the large number is not in accordance with the interests of the country. In the present situation, the authorities in the Guardian Council must show more foresight opening their minds.”

“The people who enjoy capabilities and recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran and the constitution, they should be approved and qualified. We, conscientiously, advise the GC authorities to lesser the number of disqualified registered candidates in the revision process,” he added more.

Khateeb of Sunnis expressed his views on disqualification of independent and reformist candidates, saying, “As we know, a huge number of independent and reformist candidates has been disapproved by the GC while they recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran. We hope all of them or most of them would get approval of the authorities in the review process. It makes the nation united more and brings them to the scene for casting vote.”

“There are many capable individuals among the reformists who have provided their services to the country. The approval of those people makes the Majlis varied. Variety in the parliament boosts the power of it.”

Calling on the disqualified individuals, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said, “The people who have been disapproved by the authorities or they think it was injustice, they should pursue their cases via legal channels. Respecting law is very vital for all of us. An incomplete law is much better than lawlessness.”

Nuclear deal, cancellation of sanctions nullified Israeli plots
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the cancellation of anti-Iran sanctions in a part of his speech and said, “Lifting the sanctions is a great achievement for the Iranian nation. By the blessings of Allah, the plot of the sinister Zionist regime and other enemies was frustrated who were striving to impose a war on the country. Now the gates of trade and economic activities have been open for the country as we got a big part of our blocked money was transferred to the country, too.”

“We think the Iranian nation, economically and politically, has a brilliant future. The recent achievement will boost our international relations. We hope Muslim states would have good mutual relations and those have cut their bilateral ties, they would rebuild ties with Iran,” the outstanding Iranian Sunni leader further said.

Concluding his points, Shaikh Isma’eelzahi said, “We have been advising Muslim leaders to sit together and find out solutions for the ongoing crises. There is no any advantage in war and conflicts for anyone; it never can be any solution. The current conflicts in the Middle East carry on only worldly and eternal loses. The crises in Iraq, Syria and Yemen can be resolved by negotiation and political channels.”
