Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the teachings of Islam on donation and giving charity on the path of Allah, terming ‘purification of sins’ and ‘Barakah’ of donation.

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, talking to tens of thousands worshipers on Friday 11th Dec. 2015 (29 Safar 1437), said, “Allah Almighty has sent mankind to the world for an examination. He tests His servants by different ways to make the position of everyone clear. All divine commands during the human history were tests, in fact.”

“But we should know the purification of human beings is in those tests and divine exams. Acting upon the divine orders makes the man perfect. The Sublime tests some people by wealth and some others by poverty; He wants to test poor people by patience and wealthy ones by thanking,” he added more.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “Showing patience on poverty is much easier than giving thanks on wealth and money. Wealthy and rich people can easily obtain their illegal wishes or commit crimes, but by controlling the self and donating on poor and needy people, the thanks can be done. It has a big reward.”

Shedding light on some virtues of donation, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said, “Allah has urged a lot on giving donation and charity on His path. In the Islamic Shari’ah, a part from Zakah, donating on poor men and women, orphans and other needy people and places has been recommended. Supporting needy people is the work of well-doer donators.”

“There are many Qur’anic verses on the importance of charity; Allah Almighty says in the second chapter, verse No. 261 of the Qur’an: “The charity of those who expend their wealth in the way of Allah may be likened to a grain of corn, which produces seven ears and each ear yields a hundred grains. Likewise Allah develops manifold the charity of anyone He pleases”. Sincerity and motivation of getting the pleasure of Allah increases the number of rewards,” the eminent Islamic scholar further said.

He went on to say more, “Allah replaces whatever you donate on His path; Allah says: “Say, (O Prophet): “Verily, my Lord grants provision abundantly to whomsoever He pleases and straitens it for whomsoever He pleases. Whatever you spend, He will replace it. He is the Best of all Providers.” [34:39] But those who deny donating on His path or pay Zakah of their wealth, they would regret on the Resurrection Day.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid concluded his points by saying, “Charity is the store for the everlasting life. It removes sins and brings Barakah, the pleasure of Allah and extinguishes the anger of Allah. Donation removes the love of money from the hearts replacing it with the love of Allah.”

People & representatives must have a national viewpoint
In another part of his sermon, the outstanding Iranian Sunni leader alluded to the upcoming parliamentary elections and the Assembly of Experts, saying, “The upcoming elections which would be held on Feb. 2016, will be a big test for the Iranian nation.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said, “Checking the capabilities of candidates must be with an open chest and foresight observing the ongoing changes of the region.”

“We hope talented, well-educated and discreet people will occupy the chairs of the legislative and experts’ assemblies. The representatives of people must not seek just fame and money, rather they should work hard for the best of people.”

Calling on the Iranian voters, the Sunni leader said, “A member of parliament is the representative of all people; thus you should vote without religious and ethnic biases.”

Urging on the accuracy of the elections, Shaikh Isma’eelzahi pointed out, “The elections’ accuracy is a vital issue for the authorities. The names which come out from the polling boxes should be the ones people write and vote. Sane and unbiased people should observe the process of election.”

He ended up his points by saying, “Having a talented parliament is the sign of development and Iranian nation deserves it. We have seen previously there had been scuffles for useless things in the parliament. But in future we hope to see an unbiased parliament.”
