Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi said in his Friday sermon of June 12, 2015 (24 Sha’ban) the Islamic commands resemble a kiln for purification of mankind.

Talking to tens of thousands worshippers in Zahedan, a week before Ramadan, he recited the Noble Qur’anic verse: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ», (O Believers, the Fast has been made obligatory on you just as it was prescribed for the followers of the Prophets before you. It is expected that this will produce piety in you.) and said, “Islam is a unique religion with a comprehensive plan for development of mankind. This perfect religion gets human beings close to Allah and the Paradise.”

He further said, “Mankind is a crude creature with the ability of good and bad. The nature of mankind is like golden or iron extracted from mines; they are not pure until they get burnt in any kiln. People also cannot be purified until they get rid of their dusts in the kiln of Shari’ah.”

“Fasting is not much easy; we must get up for Sohour (meal before dawn) and avoid eating and drinking for many hours. Allah wants to remove our flaws and faults by fasting, Salah and Zakah. When you prevail on your ego and self by exercising the commands of Islam and avoiding misdeeds, in fact you put yourself in the kiln of Deen and Shari’ah. These commands are polish for you,” Friday Imam of Sunnis added more.

Make a balance between animal and angel natures
Pointing out to the two angles of each human being, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stated, “There are two natures within all human beings. If the animal nature prevails on somebody, his heart will die and the love of material tools and sins will dominate him. Such people are real defunct; their bodies are alive, but hearts are dead. Shari’ah makes everyone alive and creates a balance between the two natures.”

“Strive day and night to offer prayers during Ramadan more than past. Recite the Noble Qur’an more, donate to needy people and feed poor people in this holy month. Pay Zakah of your wealth and avoid misdeeds much more; otherwise there is no any good of fasting.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “Ramadan is the month of blessings and welfare. Prosperous people are happy at the arrival of this divine guest; they are not afraid of long and hot days of summer. They receive more rewards by fasting on long and hot days. When you step on the path of piety for the sake of Allah, He will support you. People get rid of many diseases in this holy month.

In a part of his speech, he mentioned the date of Sha’ban in Iran and said, “We know the exact date of Sha’baan and therefore we will look up for the new moon at the sunset of Wednesday (June 17). In the case of not seeing the moon, the first day of Ramadan will be on Friday (June 19).”

“The famous Hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him, has resolved the matter of fasting and start of Ramadan. Thus, all Muslims, including men and women, should look up for the moon of Ramadan in all areas and cities.

At the end of his speech, the prominent Islamic scholar thanked the jail officials and the attorney general of Zahedan for organizing Hifz and Qira’ah competition among the prisoners of Sistan-Baluchistan.

He said, “Jails must be universities for prisoners. It is good that prisoners compete among each other to learn more about the Qur’an and their religious duties. Winners of these competitions get remission and leave offers. If they learn the Qur’an, it will benefit themselves, jailers and other authorities.”
