Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan called on Muslims to get ready for the Judgment Day by good deeds terming it a “monumental” and “terrible” day.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid began his latest Friday speech on June 13, 2014 by the Noble Qur’anic verse: «يَسْأَلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا», (People ask you about the Hour (i.e. the Day of Judgment). Say,” Its knowledge is only with Allah.” And what can let you know? May be, the Hour is near.); [33: 63]
He said, “The Day of Judgment is a thing that all prophets, peace be upon them, have warned of this unique day. They mentioned it a big event. The Resurrection Day is a monumental day as human beings never saw such an event before and they will not see after it, as well. On this day, everyone meets his or her end and destiny.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan further said, “On the Resurrection Day, billions of people who were born and then buried, would be alive and get up by a call and trumpet. Allah will gather all for accountability. Every individual will be there alone without the company of family, parents, children and fans. But all would come forward along with their deeds before the Almighty.”

“Allah will account each big and small action of His servants. The Noble Qur’an explained it in the words of Luqman: «يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهَا إِن تَكُ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُن فِي صَخْرَةٍ أَوْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَوْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ», (My dear son, in fact, if there be anything to the measure of a grain of rye, and it be (hidden) in a rock or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Surely, Allah is All-Fine, All-Aware.); [31: 16] In another place, the Sublime says: «فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ* وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ», (So, whoever does any good act (even) to the weight of a particle will see it. And whoever does evil (even) to the weight of a particle will see it.); [99: 7-8] Nobody can hide his acts; Allah has ordained our body parts and some angels to record whatever we do, say and believe in,” he added more.

The eminent Islamic scholar pointed out, “On the Judgment Day Allah, the Most Kind and Just, will question us about our income and the places where we had spent it. He will ask us how we did spend our youth, age and knowledge. As a person dies, his/her accountability starts; Allah says: «قُلْ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ الَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مُلَاقِيكُمْ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَى عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ», (Say, “Indeed, the death from which you (try to) run away has to visit you, then you will be sent back to the Knower of the Unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you used to do.); [62: 8]”

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid reminded the audience, stating, “We all should prepare for the everlasting life. Never forget the only thing which may help us on the Judgment Day is ‘good deed’. Next to the faith and correct tenets, we should obey Allah and carry out good deeds. As well as, we must avoid bad deeds and sins in order to collect something for that terrible day.”

He counted ‘malversation’ one of the signs of the Resurrection Day and went on to say, “A Hadith suggests, once one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, asked him about the time of the occurrence of Qiamah (Resurrection Day). He, peace & blessings be upon him, replied, “When trust is corrupted.” Iman (faith) and Amanah (trust) have been derived from same word and root; if somebody claims to be faithful and Muslim, but he is not trustee and loyal, he is a mendacious. The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said “the one who has no trust has no faith”. But trust has a vast concept in the Islamic glossary. A trustable Muslim carries out his/her all personal and social duties well. True Muslims do not leave the way of the Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnahs.”

He added more saying, “The perfect religion of Islam, the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah are trusts in the hands of us; we must not breach them. If a person casts vote for an incompetent candidate, just to put some money in his pocket or get any post, he has breached the trust certainly. Casting vote is a sort of witnessing that should be done correctly. When Muslims and mankind breach trusts, there is no any goodness in them.”

“In another Hadith, or in the next part of the above-mentioned Hadith, it has been reported that the Companions asked the Prophet, peace be upon him, how a trust can be breached? He replied that when the responsibility is given to incompetent people, so await the Hour (Judgment Day). One of the reasons behind revolutions take place around the globe is appointment of incompetent people. It is the biggest breach of trust to hand posts over to incapable people,” Khateeb of Sunnis underlined.

He emphasized on abidance with promises and said, “The Beloved Prophet, peace be upon him, used to repeat these words on the pulpit: «لا إیمان لمن لا أمانة له و لا دین لمن لا عهد له»; He has no faith the one who has no trust, and there is no religion for the one who does not fulfill his promises. Unfortunately, nowadays people do not give importance to their promises and conditions; a Muslim should be bound with the conditions which he makes. States, countries and nations should not break their promises. Human life is based on trust; without trust life gets disturbed. If people do not abide with promises, there will not be any good in the world. Hadiths mentioned perjury one of the signs of hypocrites.”

Fight with Main Reason of Extremism
In the second part of his sermon, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid alluded to the ongoing changes take place in the Muslim world and urged on fighting with the “main reason” of extremism, counting “dialogue” and “recognition of others’ rights” the only solution.

Khateeb of Sunnis said, “In many regions people suffer from armed disputes and clashes; both Shia and Sunni communities have been exhausted from extremism. In each day passes, some people face damages in such violent acts.”

Pointing out to the solution of the ongoing disputes and differences, he said, “Certainly, each dispute has causes and motives; we can find out the cause of ‘Takfir’ and ‘extremism’. First of all, the causes should be removed then the achievement will be ideal. The only solution is dialogue and recognizing the rights of each other. All rival groups should sit together, recognize each other and realize the rights of their opponents.”

The member of the IUMS further said, “Violence and killing people are not appropriate solution to get rid of disputes and contentions. Violence produces more violence with more damages. Rival groups and parties in Syria, Iraq and other countries should sit together to find out any durable solution. Muslims should utilize their potentials and powers to resolve their problems. The international powers pursue only their own interests and the security of Israel. Disputes of Muslims are in accordance with the interests of the sinister Israeli regime and arrogant powers.”

Alluding to the influence of Iran in the region, he suggested the Iranian rulers to be pioneers in bringing peace by peaceful ways. Shaikh went on to say, “The influential Muslim states should play their role to resolve the disputes and stop clashes. The way for dialogue and bringing rivals around negotiation table should be paved. We suggest and expect the Islamic Republic of Iran to help for creating a good environment for dialogue and support negotiations. Muslim scholars and thinkers also should play their role as much as they can. We are also ready to share our support and energy for this process according to our abilities.”

The Iranian nation preferred temperance and dialogue on 14 June 2013
In another part of his speech, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan pointed out to the first anniversary of the President Rouhani’s victory in the Iranian presidential election in June 2013. He said the high turnout in the last election made all aback and surprised. It was out of expectation that Dr. Rouhani would win in the election.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid added more, “The great Iranian nation delineated its route in June 14, 2013. The vote to Rouhani was a vote in favor of temperance, discretion and dialogue. Before the election, all candidates presented their plans, but the majority of people elected Mr. Rouhani as a president to see an end of discrimination and all groups and communities get their due rights in the country.”

“We want the president to pursue the national and international issues by dialogue strongly. He is expected to bring his promises, he made during election campaign, into action. Certainly, the president has very heavy responsibilities to fulfil his promises and realize the demands of different communities. People also should support the president and government in order to make easy the duties of them. The government can easily fulfil the promises if we support it,” the rector of Darululoom Zahedan underlined.

He said the nation support the nuclear stances of the government in nuclear talks. The Iranian nation and government do not seek to have nuclear weapons, then why they should face sanctions? The officials must remove the sanctions by discretion, rationale and making clear everything.

Attack on pilgrims in Taftan was shocking
Sunnis’ Khateeb in Zahedan condemned the deadly attack on Shia pilgrims in the frontier Pakistani city of Taftan, terming it a ‘shocking’ incident.

“The question is that what was the fault of them? Why it was necessary to kill them? Who could issue fatwa for their mass killing? They were simple pilgrims; if they did anything good or bad, they themselves would bear its fruits. It does not matter the culprits behind this dangerous crime. May Allah guide these ignorant people; if it is not in their destination, then may Allah protect us from their acts,” he added more.

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid welcomed Dr. Sadeq Zibakalam, a professor at Tehran University, who took part in the Friday gathering of Sunni citizens in Zahedan and mentioned him one of the elite educated men of the country.
