Decrying violence and extremism by any group, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged humanity has suffered from extremisms a lot; thus the Iranian society needs temperance more than any time.

Khateeb of Sunnis was talking to Shia and Sunni scholars of Sistan-Baluchistan in their meeting with the Iranian president on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Sistan & Baluchistan University.

He welcomed the president Rouhani and said, “The province of Sistan-Baluchistan is a multi-ethnic province with different sects. Although some elements dislike this diversity but it can be one of the best opportunities for development and advancement.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan alluded to peaceful past of different ethnic and religious groups in Sistan-Baluchistan and termed this ‘convergence’ the result of Sunni and Shia Ulama’s broad-mindness who have been taking steps on the path of unity and approximate.

He said all residents of the province must have equal share in political, economic and social circles.

Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis called poverty in Sistan-Baluchistan ‘very uncomfortable’ and welcomed the emphasis of Dr. Rouhani on utilizing all potentials of the province to reduce this phenomenon. “We hope the anxiety of our people and social elders will be over on this issue,” he added more.

The chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in southeastern Iran termed equality and removal of discriminations the best way to attain durable peace and unity in the region. He said none of communities should be marginalized in development and establishment of security in the country.

 It is notable the Iranian president visited the poorest province of Iran last week on April 15-16 where he had some public speeches and some meetings with social elites and public figures too.
