Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi, pointed out to the mortality of the worldly life and declared the changes of it proof for its perdition.

Talking to tens of thousands in the southeastern city of Zahedan, he began his Friday sermon by reading the Qur’anic verses: «وَلاَ تَشْتَرُواْ بِعَهْدِ اللّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا إِنَّمَا عِندَ اللّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ* مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ وَمَا عِندَ اللّهِ بَاقٍ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ» [نحل: 95-96], (And do not take a paltry price against the pledge of Allah. Indeed, what is with Allah is much better for you, if you only knew. What is with you shall perish and what is with Allah shall last. And certainly, We shall bless those who observed patience, with their reward for the best of what they used to do.)

The eminent Sunni scholar further said, “Lots of people pass away every day and night; it has been common for people to see dead fellows. Thus, many of them are neglectful about the death and their horrible residency in the graveyard. Death of people was very shocking and lessonful in the past; now some people do not care whether they are in a graveyard or at their homes. Unfortunately, the tradition of condolence has been faint in the society. People talk about their hobbies and businesses even in a charnel; it seems they have forgotten the fact of death.”

Khateeb and Imam of the Friday prayers in Zahedan put carelessness about the divine duties the result of negligence. He said many of the Muslims do not know anything about their responsibilities in this world, they do not meditate on preparing for the Hereafter and life like aimless people; it is the result of negligence in the society. It is the meaning of negligence as we bury down our beloved ones and see their corpses without feeling sorrow and bringing any change in the life.

“Opportunities are limited and temporary; so worship only Allah until you are healthy. Lay in something for the endless life from your wealth and money. You do not know how many days you have more to benefit them.”

Explaining the above-recited Qur’anic verses, he said Allah Almighty has ordered His creatures to be loyal and take care of the pledge of Allah. The mortal world must not get anyone away of his pledge; as the Almighty says: “What is with you shall perish and what is with Allah shall last.” [Nahl: 96]

He pointed, “The best treasure for the everlasting life is to utilize all sources for a prosperous endless life. Spend moments, minutes, days and nights while you worship the only Lord. Think about the end of humankind and create a firm connection with Allah the Sublime.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan counted “upbringing righteous children” accumulation for the Hereafter and went on to say nowadays parents have projects to give their children the best facilities and make them independent financially. But we rarely see them thoughtful over their last life. We must be careful about their endless life more than the mortal life.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points by saying, “Sahabah, the blessed companions of the last messenger, peace be upon him, benefited from the limited and temporary opportunities of the worldly life well. Sahabah, may Allah be pleased with all of them, had made ‘imitation of the Islamic Shari’ah and Sunnah of Holy Prophet, peace and prayers be upon him’, the aim of their lives. As a result, Allah Almighty announced His pleasure from them in the noble Qur’an clearly.

Egypt militarians depend on foreigners
In another part of his speech in the gathering of Sunnis for the Friday prayers in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid described the ongoing evolutions in the Middle East and some Muslim countries ‘very shocking’.

He stated, “Regrettably, some rulers of the Muslim world have been ‘barraters’; they work according to the interests of strangers. They are happy to receive messages of congratulations from the colonial powers. Their activities are against Islam.”

The influential Sunni leader declared militarians in Egypt ‘affiliated with strangers’ and underlined it was very regretful that the Egyptian army expropriated the revolution of the Egyptians; people had sacrificed their lives for this revolution but the army gave a notice of war to marginalize Islamists in Egypt.

He stated, “Still we see some tyrant rulers in the Muslim world ruling upon us; they always take care of the neocolonial powers and the Zionist regime’s interests. But they should realize Allah is with the truth and it is the final winner. The wrong is defeated certainly.”

Shaikh expressed his hope at the end of the sermon saying the Muslim nation will see good results of the Islamic awakening and public movements; Muslims will get rid of dictators soon.
