The official website of Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed, Khateeb of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan, has been blocked inside the country since Saturday, July 20, 2013 by the Filtering Committee of Iran.
The official website of Shaikh-ul-Islam (abdolhamid.net) only posts the speeches, news and views of the rector of Darululoom Zahedan that has been out of access now.
The managers of the website consider this action of the authorities an overt sign of the ‘narrow-mindness and imposing partial views’ of the pertinent officials, asking the filtering committee to take out this website from the filter list immediately.
It should be noted, both the website of Shaikh Abdol-Hameed and the official website of the Iranian Sunni community (SunniOnline.us) were attacked by hackers on 06 June, 2013 on the day of 22nd graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan. The websites suffer from technical problems yet.
