The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader, Shaikh-ul-Islam Abdol-Hameed Isma’eelzahi, has met Dr. Abdullah Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League in the holy city of Makkah.
This important meeting and mutual discussion took place on 2nd July, 2013 (Sha’ban 23) in the central office of the MWL in Makkah al-Mukarramh.
Alluding to the particular status and historical background of the Muslim World League, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah said, “The Muslim world is going through a very sensitive condition; the global ‘super powers’ want to boost sectarian and ethnic clashes in the region for their own interests, the MWL can play an important role to dismiss the conspiracies of the enemies.”
The chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries of Sistan-Baluchistan presented a brief report on the activities of Sunni Islamic schools in the southeastern regions of Iran where the administrators have organized a curriculum to teach subjects like Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic culture and Arabic language.
He admired the continuous efforts of the MWL to promote Islamic civilization and the language of the noble Qur’an in the world. Shaikh expressed his wish to exchange some fatwas issued by the Islamic Fiqh Academy of the League and the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan of Iran.
