Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed, urged on the worshippers of Zahedan to get the advantage of Ramadan worshipping the Almighty more than anytime as the season of worship has arrived.

Shaikh-ul-Islam began his sermon of July 26, 2013 by reciting the noble Qur’anic verse: «شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ» [بقره: 185], (Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur’an as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So those of you who witness the month must fast in it.)
He said, “Ramadan is the holy month of Allah’s mercy. According to some narrations from the beloved prophet, peace & blessings be upon him, by the start of Ramadan, Allah closes the gates of the Hell and enfetters the Satan. In this blessed month the doors of divine anger are closed and the doors of mercy are open fully. It is the month of asking for forgiveness of Allah. Sane and wise people take the advantage of such opportunities.”

The eminent Islamic scholar went on to say more, Ramadan has three parts; in the first ten days divine mercy covers the universe, the second decade is for forgiveness and the last one is about liberating people from the Fire of Hell. In this blessed month a herald calls on people to hurry up towards goodness and seekers of evil must leave misdeeds. The prophet, peace be upon him, was a generous man, but he used to donate more during Ramadans. If you feed any fasting Muslim, you will be rewarded as s/he is supposed to be rewarded. So, wealthy people should take care of breaking fast tables in Masajid during Ramadan. In this month, do not forget the families of orphans, inmates, poor people, religious seminaries and charity organizations.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan further said, “Prayers and Zakah are the most important warships in Islam; unless we do not pay Zakah we cannot be complete Muslims. In Ramadan, we should offer prayers more and donate on the path of Allah more than past.”

Ramadan is the month of purification and guidance; whoever moves towards Allah, He blesses him/her guidance. It is the month of the noble Qur’an; it has been revealed in Ramadan. The Night of Qadr is in the last ten days of Ramadan that is better than one thousand months. Try to find this great night; spend your time in these days and nights in worshipping Allah. It is the season of worship. Ask for forgiveness from Allah who seeks for your repentance. Allah knows well the real conditions of hearts; so strive to get His pleasure in any deed. Ramadan is a short opportunity; so try to worship Allah as much as you can, Mawlana Abdol-Hameed pointed.

Ali bin Abi-Taleb is an example for all Muslims
In another part of his speech, he alluded to the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth caliph, Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and said, “All Muslims love Ali bin Abi-Taleb and his offspring; he is respectable and very eminent for all Muslims. Muslims take him as an example of piety and good deeds unanimously. Ali and Omar, may Allah be pleased with both of them, were martyred in the adytum of masjid.”
Pointing out to pardon of the Irancell network from the Sunni community over insulting Islamic sanctities, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah stated although the Sunni community accepted and welcomed pardon of Irancell network; pertinent security officials follow up the case. We thank the respectable prosecutor of Zahedan and other officials who condemned the blasphemy.

At the end, he informed the audience about the new Mosalla of Sunnis in Zahedan and said, “We will offer Eid al-Fitr prayers in the new place probably.”
