Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, talked about the comprehensive religion of Islam affirming it the best religion with the foremost tenets, commands and morals.
Addressing tens of thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, he said, “By bestowing the great religion of Islam, Allah Exalted wanted to build the human society the finest and safest. A society in which only a God should be worshipped; Allah has given the best beliefs to mankind via Islam. Not only Islam invites to monotheism but it also blocks the possible ways lead towards Shirk.”
The last messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings be upon him, also called on people to have good morals avoiding misbehavior and misdeeds. He says: “I was dispatched to complete the goodness of ethics.” Every prophet used to invite towards ethics; Holy Prophet finished it off. A huge part of the noble Qur’an preaches ethics and good morals, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan added more.
He further said that the noble Qur’an calls on people to have excellent relationship with kinsfolk. It teaches forgiveness over the faults of others and praises such people who pardon others. It is so regrettable that people have been suffering from moral latency. Even Muslims show weakness in truthfulness and honesty.
3rd Caliph is one of “the first & foremost” believers
In another part of his Friday sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed alluded to the martyrdom anniversary of the third caliph, Othman bin Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, who was assassinated on 18th Dhul-Hijjah. He said in this regard, “Obeying the order of beloved prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Othman bin Affan migrated twice; the first term from Makkah to Ethiopia (Habasha). And then from Ethiopia to Medina.”
Othman was amongst the first Muslims who accepted the call of Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. Allah Almighty has announced His pleasure and happiness from the first and foremost believers. Allah says: «وَالسَّابِقُونَ الأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَانٍ رَّضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُواْ عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ» [توبه: 100], (As for the first and foremost of the Emigrants (Muhajirin) and the Supporters (Ansar) and those who followed them in goodness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Allah, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live for ever. That is the supreme achievement.) He was one of the ten men who had got the glad news of their places in Paradise. If somebody is unhappy with those great personalities, it does not harm them. Allah has expressed His satisfaction from the Guided Caliphs, Muhajirin, Ansar and all who imitate them, the member of the IUMS further said.
He stated some features of the third caliph of Muslims saying that Othman was the man who got married to Om-Kolthum, daughter of Holy Prophet, before the prophecy of him. She accompanied Othman in the difficult days of migration; Othman was looking after her during the Badr Battle as she was very sick. After demise of Om-Kolthum, the last messenger of Allah gave the hand of his daughter, Roqayyah, to Othman. Two daughters of Holy Prophet, Alaihissalam, were wives of Othman consecutively; thus he was entitled “Dhon-Nourayn” or the owner of the two lights.
Creating obstacles for “Tablighi Jama’at”, clue of fanaticism
After explaining some aspects of the life of Othman bin Affan, Radhi-Allah-o Anhu, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed criticized fanatic elements inside some official departments who have been creating obstacles for the activists of Tablighi Jama’at in Iran.
Preachers of Tabligh have no any political agenda. The entire world is interested in this movement. They work honestly without showing tendency to any political wing. They avoid disputable subjects urging on Muslims to be unanimous. Tablighi workers do not harm any one. They advise Muslims to enhance their faith, offer prayers, pay Zakah and adopt Sunnah of Holy Prophet, Mawlana Abdol-Hameed underlined.
He pointed more saying it is obviously fanaticism to ban activities of Tablighi Jama’at or restrict them. The national constitution emphasizes on the religious freedom of Sunni Muslims. No one can violate these Articles of the constitution imposing his personal laws on Sunnis in Iran.
When a person belonging to any community, for instance a culprit disguises in the shape of a student or Tablighi activist, the entire community should not be targeted and restricted. Tablighi workers particularly have organized some good plans to halt the way of opportunist people. They must be encouraged to work freely in an Islamic state, Khateeb of Sunnis concluded his points.
