Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, began his latest Friday speech by reading the noble verse: “یَرفَعِ اللهُ الَّّذینَ آمَنوُا مِنکُم وَالَّذینَ اوُتوُا العِلمَ دَرَجاتٍ وَاللهُ بِما تَعمَلوُنَ خَبیرٌ”, (Allah will raise those, in ranks, who have believed and are given knowledge. Allah is well-aware of what you do.) He expressed his views on the importance of knowledge and science stating that people can get outward and inward development only by knowledge.

Pointing out to reopening of Islamic seminaries and public schools, Khateeb of the Grand Makki Masjid said, “The superior status of knowledge is clear for everyone. What ever we observe from spiritual and modern advancements are the fruits of knowledge and science. It is the exacting need of humanity to get knowledge in all fields. No one can deny the tangible achievements of science in the fields of medic, technology and industry.”

He counted “development in modern sciences” one of the West’s proud factors against Muslim world, clarifying, “The Western world is proud of modern science; no doubt they are advanced in these grounds. They have excelled us in modern sciences but they lost ground to Muslims in the spiritual aspects. They are unaware of piety, theology and self-analysis. The developed world does not know how to worship Allah. Although, Muslims are not superior in modern sciences but they enjoy the knowledge of Shari’ah. They are proud of both modern and religious sciences. They are struggling to progress morally as well next to modern advancements.”

The member of the IUMS put “Islamic knowledge” and “modern science” as two wings of human beings’ prosperity saying that human society never can be needless of the both modern and Islamic sciences. If people want to progress comprehensively, they must seek both of the sciences. It is regrettable that Muslims masses show negligence in the both fields. They should work hard more seriously to compensate the past weaknesses.

At the end of first part of his sermon, Mawlana Abdol-Hameed underlined, “None of progressed proud nations could reach to the peak of development but by getting knowledge and adapting science. We should allocate a good part of our income for children’ education; there must not be any dropout in our homes. We should compete with the world in this field.”

Education Department must employ local Sunni teachers, headmasters

In the second of part of the Friday speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed expressed his deep concerns over bad condition of public schools in villages and outland areas of the province. He stated some teachers and the department of education show carelessness in their duties.

He advised the officials to employ local deserved people for teaching and managing offices. Such teachers would struggle with more sincerity. What is wrong with employment of local Sunni teachers and head masters? The department must review its policies in this regard.

Iranian Administration should uproot economy crises

In another part of his discourse, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi indicated to fall of the country’s currency saying, “Unprecedented inflation and high prices of essential needs of people anguished masses very badly; the administration should take serious steps to overcome this calamity.”

He added more that the economy of the country has been affected by the recent tragedies; the value of the national currency hit a record low. The Rial has lost more than 75 per cent of its value in the past year. Unfortunately, this problem caused a big disaster for Iran and common masses on the international level. The responsible officials should stop this restive problem.

The prominent Sunni leader further said, “There are two poor countries in our neighboring, Pakistan and Afghanistan, who have a much better condition than us. Their currencies, Afghani and Rupee, have more value comparing with Iranian currency, Rial. Despite enjoying more natural resources, the Iranian people suffer from economic crises in commerce, employment and livelihood.”

He urged saying that most of the people belong to the middle class who can not survive in the current situation. The rate of unemployment in Sistan-Baluchistan is higher than other parts of the country. When employees can not survive, what would be the condition of unemployed people? Closure of factories and developmental projects intensified the situation. Prices go up after per hour! The cash subsidy of the government is like nothing for people. In such circumstances, the Administration should strive day and night to find any objective and instant solution.

At the end of his sermon, Khateeb of Sunnis alluded to the Police Week in Iran saying that people owe the Police a lot. They work hard to maintain peace and secure people. People must not be afraid of police; they should feel stability and calmness by seeing police. It is a public sector.
