Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed denounced fervently the anti-Islam film made by some fanatic Jews and Copt Christians in his Friday sermon in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, Iran.
He said more in this regard, “Production of the anti-Islam film that insults Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings be upon, wounded very badly feelings of all Muslims and tolerant people across the world. The film offended the best creature of Allah and His closest servants who was a mercy for the entire mankind and beings.”
Alluding to the wide-spread protests of Muslims across the globe which have left some people dead, Khateeb of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan put such reactions correct and said that Muslims had showed their love to Islam and Holy Prophet (PBUH). They are protesting desecration of their saints and inviolable places. While Muslims never insult saints of any religion or group; they recognize sanctity of all religions.
The outstanding Sunni leader further said, “Allah Almighty has ordered Muslims to not abuse even idols and untrue objects of worship that are being worshipped by heathens. Prophets like Moses and Jesus Christ, peace be upon them, are more respectable and inviolable. Islam teaches Muslims to respect sanctities of other religions such as Torah and Bible, and Muslims have been respecting them since the very first day.”
He further said that Muslims had regard for the self-made sanctities of Jews and Christians which are not sacred at Muslims. If Muslims guide or denounce others, they do it gently in an honorable method. Muslims forbid others from misdeeds and wrong beliefs on the basis of wisdom and logic. Islam is the religion of rationality and respect.
The eminent Sunni scholar went on to say more on the topic, “Disparagement has no place in Islamic civilization; these are Muslims who have been insulted. Last year, almost in these days some ultra-bigoted people offended Holy Qur’an in the US, they hurt millions of Muslims by burning the last divine book of the Exalted Allah. As a result, dozens of Muslims lost their lives around the world in protests.”
He pointed more saying that now the enemies of Islam targeted the prophet of peace, fraternity, cleanness and honesty. This offensive act has hurt feelings of millions of Muslims and tolerant people. This awkward action made all intellectuals and free-thinkers nervous; even many Jews and Christians condemned this film.
Indicating towards the US officials’ censure on the offensive film, Mawlana Abdol-Hameed stated, “Although the US authorities condemned the contents of the movie, still they are accountable and guilty. Because either the US leaders want such campaigns or they are incompetent to manage such matters correctly.”
The member of the IUMS described the irreverent film makers “humanoid” who have disguised them selves in the shape of human being, adding, “None of religions and civilization permits blasphemy; particularly sacrilege of Holy Prophet Muhammad that is the biggest possible profanation. There is no any other sacred greater than the sanctity of the beloved last prophet of Allah for Muslims. All Muslims are ready to give sacrifice of their lives and the lives of their family members even by heavy wrecker guns, but they can not bear sacrilege of the chief of prophets and the most virtuous after Allah. The irreverent fanatic producers of the sacrilegious movie are humanoid; they are like barking dogs at the 14th night of the lunar month.”
Denouncing vehemently the sacrilegious film and the US government, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi underlined that the US government and all other countries where anti-Islam movements are active must take serious steps to halt such sinister elements. On the one hand, they claim to protect human rights while they do not care the human rights of more than half and one billion Muslims of the world. So, all international communities and human rights organizations must decry such offensive acts. The 9/11 incident was carried out by a particular group; the whole Muslim nation should not be insulted because of that group.
At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed called on all audience to take part in the rally to protest anti-Islam film along with Muslims inside and outside of the country after Friday prayers.
