Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi pointed in his recent Friday sermon that fasting in Ramadan enhances spiritual and angelical dimension of people.
He started his sermon by the 183rd verse of Sourah Baqarah of Holy Qur’an.
Shaikh stated, ‘As the navigate of Allah Almighty is everlasting and undying, His wisdoms are also permanent. Allah is the Lord and mentor of us. He nourishes His entire creatures. Allah has not created any thing useless.’
The eminent Islamic scholar went on to say that human being is the best and the most valuable creature of Allah, the Sublime. Allah has given mankind a very high status. He says: «وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا» [إسراء: 70], (And We bestowed dignity on the children of ‘Adam and provided them with rides on the land and in the sea, and provided them with a variety of good things and made them much superior to many of those whom We have created.) As Allah nourishes the body and apparent part of mankind, in the same way He nourishes the unseen part, angelical, of people.
‘We have two dimensions; angelical and bestial. Both of them need nourishment. Human being needs spiritual feed as food is must for the nourishment of visible body. Exalted Allah provides both sorts of feed to human beings. The food of soul was provided through the prophets, peace be upon them, to people in different times,’ Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan underlined.
He further said that Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings be upon him, was the greatest mentor and teacher of human being. he pointed saying, ‘The exemplary training of the beloved prophet Muhammad made Abu-Bakr “Siddiq” (righteous), Omar became “Farooq” (differencing between the right and wrong), Sayyida Ayesha became “Siddiqa”, Fatima was “Zahra”, Othman became “Dhon-Nourayn” (owner of two lights), and Ali achieved the status of “Mortadha” (selected).’
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan, Iran, put Holy Qur’an the biggest grant of Allah that was revealed in the blessed month of Ramadan. He said that Qur’an was revealed to nourish mankind and reform people. Qur’an has directions for human being in each and every era.
He added more, ‘Fasting is one of the training and reforming programs of Islam that plays a vital role in purifying of people. Mankind is like a prolific land that needs struggle for implanting and picking back. Mankind, also, must strive for reformation by offering prayers, giving Zakah and charity and observing fast etc. these worships are very vital sources for cultivation of people spiritually.’
Mawlana Abdol-Hameed addressed the audience saying, ‘Ramadan is full of blessings and goodness. Do not declare fasting and Tarawih burden on your shoulders, rather all of them mercies of Allah. By enduring difficulties of these worships you can reach to Allah and the Paradise. Ramadan has come to improve you spiritually. If you want a real and eternal life, and the love of Allah and His messenger Muhammad then imitate Allah Almighty and His prophet.’

Muslim states must cut off ties with Myanmar

The outstanding Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, vilified Muslims’ massacre in Burma (Myanmar) asking Muslim rulers to cut off political and trade relations with Myanmar regime.
Talking to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, Iran, he stated, ‘Burma’s Muslim community is a minority community; mostly minorities suffer from lots of problems as they complain always. Burma’s Muslims are in the worst condition across the world regretfully. They have been forced to depart their homeland or inhabit in refugees’ camps. Recently, thousands of them were massacred by Buddhist fanatic gangs.’
Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah added more, ‘We decry that tragedy harshly asking the international communities and human rights activists to strive for quick resolution and bar of Muslims’ massacre in Burma.’
He called on Muslim states’ rulers to cut off their political and commercial ties with Myanmar by banishment of Myanmar’s ambassadors and calling back their representatives in that country. Shaikh said that it would deter Myanmar’s rulers and Muslims would have a better condition over there.
