Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, began his latest Friday sermon by reading holy verse: «وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ» [عنکبوت: 69], (As for those who strive in Our way, We will certainly take them onto Our paths, and indeed Allah is with those who are good in deeds.)
He pointed, ‘Allah Almighty has eased conducting Islamic commands which are adoptable for human beings. But Islam and its brilliant commands are such important and valuable that skies and the earth could not accept carrying out the responsibility. So Allah gave the responsibility to mankind and warned them to strive for doing good deeds.’
He added more in this regard saying that it was easy to carry out the directions of Shari’ah by little purification. While many people claim that it is very difficult to conduct Islamic commands; giving obligatory charity, Zakah, and observing fast in long and hot days are tiresome for them.
‘We all are ordered to act upon Islam and give sacrifices of lives and wealth at the need. Holy Prophet used to offer prayers as his feet were tumescent. He endured lots of troubles and wounds in the fields of Jihad. He was busy with remembering Allah all the time,’ the eminent Islamic scholar emphasized.
He further said that what ever the beloved prophet and his companions did to preach Islam and defend it from enemies was only due to strong faith and true love of Allah. When a person enjoys love of Allah in his heart, enduring all kinds of difficulties would be easy for him. Not only giving sacrifices for Sahabah was easy but it was enjoyable as well. ‘If we feel that adopting Islamic teachings is hard for us, it is because of our weak faith; there is no love of Allah and His Messenger in our hearts,’ Shaikh added more.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan underlined saying that Muslims had forgotten the fear of Hell and its terrifying punishments. Muslims have forgotten the Resurrection Day. Allah says about that day: «يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّا أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكَارَى وَمَا هُم بِسُكَارَى وَلَكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ» [حج: 2], (The day you will see it, every suckling female will forget that which she suckles, and every female having pregnancy shall abort her fetus, and you will see people as if they are drunk, while they are not drunk, but Allah‘s torment is (so) severe.) Today’s Muslims have forgotten sincere sacrifices of holy prophet and his companions for the sake of Allah. They gave their lives and wealth to protect Islam and defend it. Unfortunately, Muslims are showing laziness in acting upon the directions of holy prophet, peace & blessings be upon him. Many Muslims do not have full love of Allah and a complete faith; the things which force them to offer mid-night prayers and get prosperity of the both worlds.
At the end of first part of his sermon, Shaikh Ismaeelzahi said, ‘To get love of Allah and His Messenger is not donative, Wahbi, it should be achieved by struggling day and night. We should bring the greatness of Allah and the Sunnah of Holy prophet in our hearts. If there is no love of Allah and Muhammad in any heart, it is a dead heart in fact. Life of heart is in a complete faith. Love of Allah and His messenger makes it easy to conduct upon Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.’
Felicitation over victory of revolutionaries in Egypt presidential elections
The outstanding leader of the Sunni community in Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi pointed out towards the victory of “Muhammad Morsi” in the early presidential election of Egypt in the second part of his speech saying, ‘I would like tocongratulate the victory of Islamists’ candidate in the presidential election of Egypt. No doubt it was the most important event of last week in the Muslim World.’
He expressed his happiness over a statement of the President of Egypt saying, ‘When I was reading Mr. Morsi’s biography and news, his one statement influenced me a lot. He had said: «وُلّیتُ علیکم و لستُ بخیرکم», (I have become your ruler while I am not the best of you.) These are the words of the first caliph, Abu-Bakr As-Seddiq.’
The rector of the biggest Islamic seminary of Sunnis in Iran added more saying that Mr. Morsi had addressed the people of Egypt: ‘Accept my orders until I obey Allah Almighty; If I disobey, you are not supposed to obey me.’ This is what the second caliph Omar, may Allah be pleased with him, said on the tribune. Saying such words in such era when people are mostly living neglectfully is very important incident.
He expressed his sincere wishes for the new president of Egypt saying, ‘We hope revolutionaries in Egypt would get their final aims. People of other states who have been struggling to step down dictators will achieve their goal soon, God willing. May Allah root out despotism from the Middle East and the entire world, and implement true Islam of Mohammad and Khulafa-e-Rashideen on the earth.
