ZAHEDAN- Shaikh Abdul Hameed has criticized state-taken steps and suspicious propagandas against the International Movement of Tablighi Jama’at in the country in his latest Friday speech.

Condemning publication of books and illegal moves of the authorities in some provinces against Tablighi Jama’at and Sunni community, he said that recently a book has been distributed which is full of baseless blames on Sunnis and Tablighi Jama’at.

He made it clear that Tablighi Jama’at is a worldwide reformist movement which calls people towards the right path imitating the Exalted Allah’s order of Amr bil-Ma’rouf and Nahy An al-Munkar (Order to the good deeds and prohibition from bad deeds). This movement is strongly away of violence and shooting people rather, millions of people returned to the right path by Tablighi Jama’at.

The key leader of Sunni Muslims in Iran urged that members of Tablighi Jama’at avoid from invidious words, they do not speak against any person or particular community, and they keep themselves away from sectarian disputes. These preachers invite people to the principles of Islam in a positive way which is acceptable for all; the concerned authorities must curb publication of hateful books that target Sunnis and insult them.

Shaikh further said that some security authorities have been striving to impose illegal limitations on the preaching units and gatherings. Interfering in the religious and educational affairs of Sunnis of Iran is contrary to the Iranian Constitution and national interests of the country, they can not impose sanctions on Sunnis. No one can violate our religious freedom.

‘Recently I had a trip in Fannuj area of Balochistan; where the authorities of Kerman province halted us to enter that province because we belong to Balochistan province! Is not Kerman a part of our country? Aren’t we the citizens of same country? They should answer, why they banned the 30 year-old congregation service of prayers of the Sunni community in Kerman? Thousands of Sunnis lost their lives in Bam earthquake located in Kerman; they had no a single mosque to offer five time prayers,’ Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed.

He also emphasized that he had said nothing secret to participators of conferences and seminars help out of the country when he took part. ‘I asked the officials about the circumstances of Shiites in those Muslim states and urged on justice and equality. This is our stance always to work on the stream of unity and justice,’ he added more.

The eminent Sunni scholar pointed that Iran is the only state where authorities show sensitivity over prayers (Salah); meanwhile, last year over 50 khatm (complete recitation of the Qur’an in Taraweeh prayers) of the Qur’an held during Ramadan in Moscow metropolis, hundreds of mosques are actively provide services Muslims in many European countries; but Sunnis can not offer prayers in congregation in mega cities of Iran even in houses!

Shaikh said that Shiite clergies hold the ongoing regime in Iran, Sunnis hope that Shiite scholars prove their open-mindness and deal with Sunnis in a positive method. Sunnis must have mosques wherever they want. Muslim rulers should realize the rights of minorities more than any other state. Muslims, Christians, Jews and the followers of all religions should live together peacefully.

The Sunni scholar called the audience to support drought-hit Somali via giving charity to reliable charity organizations. He said that oppressed Somalis are in extreme need of our aids.
